Though superman 64 was a commercial failure,it was stated that it is the best selling game on N64 AT july 1999(then it went down under),once even it stated the 3rd best selling game during the month of July 1999
Instead of lying perhaps they should have spent time on making the game fun, playable, looking decent, and not flying through rings!
In wikipedia there's a mention to this statement,however In the
portuguese wikipedia Superman don't sold even one million copies.
It was far from the best selling game.. It's not even that hard to find sales numbers for N64 games. Especially not best selling ones.

What i meant to say is that it sold great ON july 1999,the rest(superman 64) after and before july was the worst thing to ever happen to the n64

The Death and Return of Superman on the SNES. It's a beat em up, and it's not without it's problems, but it's easily the best Superman game we've ever had.

I'd say, even though it's not a "Superman" game, Lego Batman 2 is the best game you can play as Superman in.
