Are your gigs virtual? Like the Ponies to Mr.hands connection is pretty golden, but I couldn't see your average live audience understanding the references.

I am a stage performer, but the only gigs I limit myself to are anime and furry conventions because of how privy audiences are to my kinds of humor, which are largely pop culture and Internet culture with some gay mixed in for good measure. I don't do local comedy clubs where I live because the demographics are off; people here expect latino and redneck/blue-collar crap. Also being openly gay in Texas is a good way to attract undue attention.

I have two coming up later this year, one in September and one in October. Smile

That's my golden rule for making good drinks.

You should consider doing things like live pod-casts or something. Another outlet for that kind of humor.

I have been trying this for many years to no avail, unfortunately. Nobody cares. Maybe I just suck at marketing myself. Sad
I mean like "get" interviewed somehow not uploading your own podcasts. It looks more desperate that way and people will expect much more out of your material. If someone has an "anime-con" podcast for example then let them know what your doing and see if they'd want you in the podcast.
WOW Im happy there are some MLP fans here. But it makes me sad that people won't bother to watch the show because of how its viewed. To all that keep commenting about it being creepy that people get off to it, well I'll tell you something, every interest has that creepy group. You just keep viewing MLP fans as only that perv group and it sucks. If you watched it and don't like it fine you can't enjoy everything but dont go around bashing everyone called a bronie. Also the show has changed alot since it started, it's really funny and the creators, in the later episodes, know how to appeal to the older fan group while still making it for little kids. They browse reddit and 4chan, that how Derpy Hooves or Dr. Hooves or DJ Pon-3 where created. haha. But I will admit it is really disappointing how some fans just ruin the reputation of being a brony....

(the song below is in the tune of the theme song)

So it sounds like you go to convention... and in Texas. could that mean you went to RTX?
My problem lies within the fact that there's actually a group of adult men in the world that are obsessed with these tiny cartoon horses. If you're just a fan of the show, you like to watch it occasionally, whatever, no harm done. But do you really have to identify yourself as a brony and make it so that your life literally revolves around a children's cartoon?

Realmscon and Ruronikon are the only two places booking me so far. RTX looks really big, I haven't really had the fortune of being important or well enough known to make it to such venues. Sad

Saying I'm a brony is just like saying I'm a trekkie. It's a way for fans to identify one another. Saying I say I'm a brony, but my life defiantly doesn't revolve around it. I just enjoy it and fan alike. If anything my life revolves around Rooster Teeth and video games, which is why I'm on this site.

Upon reflection, my only real qualm with all of this is that I hate the word "brony". Does everything really need a clumsy portmanteau? Ergh, it just sounds horrible to say. Glad you enjoy the show and all, but get a better name.

Euphony is important, man. Brooooony. Ugh.

(love you too)
Wow.

I don't even like this show, and even I know OP spelled Brony wrong in the poll.

I think OP meant to spell "brownie" and posted this while high.
Since I'm usually up when everyone else is asleep I've been thinking of watching MLP just to see what the fuss is about. The writer behind the show seems pretty promising, so..

If you like it will you promise to refer to yourself as a fan of My Little Pony rather than a Brony?
