That unfortunately doesn't stop the droves of 20-30 something year old men who salivate over the characters and obsess over the show in a religious fashion and deprive the target audience (CHILDREN) of the merchandise.

I despise bronies.

Bronies. I'm in no way judging this but... WOW. This is eye opening for me.
Whenever I hear bronie/brony, I somehow hear the word brownie. Pretty sure a brony isn't as delicious.
What even is this? I completely serious, I have no idea what everyone's affinity for this thing is.

The way I see it, is that bronies are an extension of furries (lets not argue semantics, there is a LOT of crossover) and furries are notoriously disgusting, perverse, and unsavory. Now, I realize this is a blanket statement. I myself happen to belong to the furry fandom out of association so I just insulted myself as well. I have many working ties that I am a little shameful of. XD

But the point I am trying to make is that when you take the generalized sexual depravity of the furry fandom and apply it to MLP, you get some really twisted stuff. I'm sure everyone has seen the infamous pony plushie with the oddly-specific hole sewn into it. Let's not forget the "life size" Rainbow Dash that sold for thousands on eBay. Only two kinds of people would buy that: the parents of an exceptionally spoiled bratty daughter, or someone whose intentions are to do something unspeakable to it. The furry fandom is HUGE, so it's understandable that they'd have their own slang, like "yiff". Bronies are still very much a small community, and yet they already have "clop" as their equivalent term. There's more than one sexual slang in their community vocabulary as well. For a community that seems to be clean and open, they really picked a lot of weird things to have euphemisms for.

Again, I realize there are exceptions to this rule. Bronies are not unlike fundamental religious wacks, its the misbehaving people that get the most attention, but their actions really do a lot to make the group as a whole look bad. I know that the Humble Bronies raised $10,000 for the summer indie Humble Bundle, and that's incredibly thoughtful of them; but for every group of Humble Bronies, there's about seven groups of people running Tumblrs of people ejaculating on pony toys.

I guess I'll let my Warn status get 20% cooler too. Sad Hopefully that wasn't too blatantly warn-worthy though; just trying to explain the inappropriate aspects of things and why Skarro probably felt that his picture was humorous and/or relevant.
Yea, I like the show. It's a fairly good cartoon.

Ha. How people can act offended when they're proud enough to attend those conventions and take a picture anyway. A Brony is a not: a gender, age group, human characteristic or a race so there's nothing to be offended about.

Here is a picture of Trekkies. Time to get offended.

What's the difference? That warning on Skarro is pretty BS too.
Thanks for the defense Smile Though I offered to remove it myself in an appeal to Dark_Dimension to get my warning removed. So it was my choice. And it's gone! yay!

(Well it's still there but it says 0% so whatever.)
A show that was made for kids which slowly became a Kids Show, which only 17+ watch.

Great -__-

Nah, I cant stand it, Ive seen an episode, I know a few of the Ponies names because of the god awful memes.

I think it was the fact that Skarro's picture had some captions on it that could be deemed rude toward bronies (e.g. something about "sexually disturbed men who watch a show intended for little girls" or something of the sort).

So, we can call Star Wars fans weird men but if we do that to dudes who like a pony cartoon we have to watch wear we tread.
Taking the piss out of Trekkies = Haha 'tards.
Taking the piss out of people learning Hylian = Nerds.
Taking the piss out of people watching rainbow ponies = Better not be offensive now...

Please dude, hjust for admitting to people you're a "Brony" you're setting yourself up to having the crap kicked out of you. So prepare to defend yourself on the Internet if you want to be part of that group; and don't act like a 'tard when you do receive it. BS

Again, I'm assuming the warn was because the jokes were of a more personal nature and not superficial "haha nerds nerds nerds". The reason why bronies get a bad rap is because of their close association to furries and the massive amounts of "clopfics" and adult art that they produce for what is ultimately a show intended to be enjoyed by young girls. You have to admit, that is at least KIND OF messed up. There's sexual inappropriate stuff with Trekkies and gaming nerds, but the difference here is that these sexual outlets are not as prominent and focal to their communities, they are effectively fringe groups within a larger group of people and for the most part they are unspokenly shunned from the main community.

I realize there are clean MLP brony communities, too bad they are overshadowed by more unruly outfits.

Dude...dude. You do realise you trying to defend 18+ males watching a happy rainbow pony program right? How can you not take the piss? I take the piss out of religious people when bring up their BS.

"Trekkies and gaming nerds, but the difference here is that these sexual outlets are not as prominent"
Because no-one has ever had the "you're a virgin" thown at them now? When you commit to a group like a Pokemon, Star Trek, My Little Pony, you're ALWAYS going to get crap thrown at you. So what gives MLP fans the right to be all "ewwwy I'm offended"?

Oh, I thought you were speaking about something else (regarding Skarro being warned). Yeah, I make fun of bronies all the time, haha. My last gig I did a set of jokes that started with MLP and segued into Mr Hands. Bronies are easy.

Are your gigs virtual? Like the Ponies to Mr.hands connection is pretty golden, but I couldn't see your average live audience understanding the references.
