Brutal Legend got me laughing so much, I don't even know why. Maybe it was just Jack Black, but it was just exceptionally funny, and it made the game 10x as better in my opinion. Have you guys ever gotten a game that just made you laugh uncontrollably?
Saints Row 3 was completely ridiculous which was hilarious throughout the entire game. It doesn't even have to be that severe. Jak and Dexter had me laugh a bit just because of how its presented. It made these game waaay better.

Yeah Daxter was a little funny I have to admit.
My two favorite 'comedic' games are Shadow Madness and The Bard's Tale.
The Monkey Island series, Day of the Tentacle and Sam & Max Hit the Road. Lucasarts wrote some great dialogue in the old days Smile
Monkey Island series and Rare games are fantastic. Easily have the most laugh out loud moments in videos. The Mario and Luigi RPG games also have their moments.
I think the only game I've played purely for the comedy of it is the first Monkey Island. Some day I will get around playing the other ones as well..

Beardy

Yeah, the LucusArts stuff is pretty uniformly great. The only other ones that spring to mind are the Portal games, which I loved to bits.
The Portal and Banjo Kazooie games got me to laugh out loud while having a blast playing them. I love comedy in a game as long as the game itself isn't sacrificed for a good laugh.
Now I just need to find a copy of Conker's bad fur day...
Portal and the R&C series are definitely funny IMO.
Saints Row 3. That is all.
Well, I'M actually gonna answer the question correctly :3

I think that comedy can be a nice addition to videogames. Depending on what game, it can lighten the tone of the game, or can even make it more fun!

I know I've been this example a couple of times, but the Portal series is a perfect example. If you look at the story, Portal is actually pretty dark: you are trapped n a giant testing facility with no way of escaping, and the only thing you can do is doing tests for the rest of your life with a giant, torturing robot who keeps making you suffer.

But, by making GLaDOS sarcastic and by adding funny things here and there ("The cake is a lie..."), you lighten up the tone ^_^
I like the adventures from Lucas Arts (most of them) and of course Saints Row, but it should fit to the genre.

You can't just go ahead and answer the question. You have to start spouting out the names of funny games as quickly as possibly, and avoid the actual question with all costs. [/sarcasm]
ermmmm CONKERS, hilarious. also thought jak and daxter was fairly funny
