No, not the XBox trophies, though if you have a Platinum on something like GTA4 that's already a feat of it's own. Ahem, anyway, as we already have a video game confession thread I thought I'd make a counterpart for that. What are your greatest achievements in gaming? I'll start with a few of mine.


I got past level 99 in Asteroids. This was when I was trying to see if the game actually continues past that. It did.

Got so good at Tetris Mania that I'm still playing the same game after months of starting it on my cellphone. Haven't used the possibility to store blocks either, even though the game has that option. Man the blocks are fast at this point, I think I've gotten to a point they won't go any faster.

Beat a rank 68 player in BlazBlue online in my first ever match. He ragequit on me by propably shutting his system down before the "You Win" screen appeared.

Being actually good at SHMUPs and bullet hell shooters. Examples being that I've beaten Strikers 1945 II on all 10 difficulty settings multiple times, being able to breeze through most of Hard Corps Uprising using sprint, not dying once in the first "world" of Smash TV and getting halfway through Metal Slug 3 without dying.

Seriously? Nothing? No one here has absolutely nothing they are proud of in their whole life of gaming?

But more soberly though, beating Red in Mt Thingy in Pokémon Gold was a very proud point in my gaming life - I was at my dad's workplace and just kept showing my Gameboy to everyone

One time I played through the entirety of Leaf Green with just a Rattata and Pidgey I found on Route 1.

I got a pentakill (Get 5 kills one after another, may I note that there can only be 5 people on a team) as Garen using only one spell

I beat Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts II on Proud Mode with the Kingdom Key
And in Kingdom Hearts I for that matter.

So yeah...

I've beaten Pokémon Platinum, HeartGold, SoulSilver, Black and White 2 without a Walkthrough.

I have never needed to use a Walkthrough for Pokémon.

I have beaten Halo 1, 3, Reach, Wars and soon to be 4, on Legendary Solo.

I have over 4000 hours (166 days) of playing time on Halo 3. Including Custom Games, Campaign and Forge.

I have completed over 160 games, and 50 in the last year.

Probably more, but I don't even know.

I have beaten many video games.

I beat (and did everything in) Ninja Gaiden 2. Did K's and Maximas trials in KoF XIII with one hand (fight stick obviously). Under 1:50 hour completion for RE4 Dunno really. Everything now is an achievement, meh.

Oh yeah, not sure if it counts but I got a triple kill with one machina shot once in TF2, it was pretty sweet.

Really? The world record is 1:43 if I recall correctly.
