I tried looking this up online and not very many people seem to know about this. In Luigi's Mansion among the various generic portraits hanging on the wall is a picture of a flower pot that looks suspiciously like the Pokemon Venusaur.

You could say its debatable, but to me that looks a hell of a lot like Venusaur to be a coincidence, and considering Nintendo's track record with characters in portraits I don't think its an unreasonable conclusion to draw.
I can see where you are coming from but that is a far stretch really.
Just my opinion.
but it has EYEBALLS and blue spots. If the artist who rendered this was making an ordinary flower pot, what were those two features included for?
Did Venasaur have spots? The eyes could have been a Boo?
Sorry, I don't see it.
I see where your coming from

Logistically, every image in a game has to be drawn, and i'd say this was likely to be drawn with venesaur in mind

I can see why its debatable though, but the colour, the face and even the base leaves with the flowers tell me it was planned as a very vauge easter egg
In my opinion, this may be subtle but I see Venusaur.
Great find Cool
I see how it looks a lot like Venusaur. But is it Venusaur?
I put it next to the official artwork and...

Same colours given for genre correction, leaves go the same way, face is in the same place and is smiling...
No doubt in my mind.
Fix your image Moriatti
But... It's an old post? OH, OK.
Thanks! Yes I think there is no way this was an accident, there is even clearly a fave drawn on the pot.
