Even though we have seen Mario hatless with hair many times, In lots of the early Donkey Kong merch, artists in the US usually drew Mario as balding.

(I thought this would be a cool fact to post, it really surprised me when I first found out)

I think its only the USA box art or whateaver, because they changed things, see Megaman.
