Even though Atari 2600 was the crappiest console ever produce(the one that contributed to the video game crash of 1983 ) but if one compares the Playstation 3 Launch price(at 599.00$) to the Atari 2600 Launch Price(at 199.00$) and adjust it to 2007 dollars the Atari 2600 cost more than the Playstation 3 and considering the Atari was the worst system it actually beat Playstation launch price( i also heard that the atari sold more units than the playstation but i need source on that one)
