The Gameboy that Survived the Gulf War
Does anyone remember the story about the Gameboy that survived the Gulf War?

I'm not sure of the exact details, but like the article says, this original Gameboy survived a barracks bombing during the Gulf War. Nintendo proudly displays this very Gameboy at the Nintendo World Store in NYC. You know what else is so special about this Gameboy? It still works!!!

If I found that I would have kept it lol I remember hearing about this in High School, I liked how Nintendo brought it into their museum and proudly display it every day.

I'd hate to be the guy who changes its batteries.

^It appears to be attached to the AC adaptor.

The plastic buttons had to be replaced IIRC, since they had been fused and could not physically be pressed down, but that was it.

Same way anyone would type in anything ,to learn more about it. And even if you would not type it in,there was magazines by the thousands who have reported the news and Nintendo THEMSELVES has showcased the Gulf War Gameboy at the NINTENDO WORLD STORE,which usually means there is hundreds of people there.

RE: The Gameboy that Survived the Gulf War
I've never really paid any attention to news about Nintendo, at least not before the DS and 3DS. Not that those kinds of things would have even been reported all the way out here. I haven't really googled anything related before the new handhelds either.
