Would I like Dark Souls?
Okay I know this question is something only I can answer but with Dark Souls 2 being announced I am sort of thinking about it. I played Demon Souls and could not finish the first real level so would that be proof enough that I am not ready for Dark Souls?

RE: Would I like Dark Souls?
Dark/Demons Souls REALLY isn't that hard. It's overhyped hard. It's not NES hard, it's just you can't take more than 3 or so hits. Without armour, 2 hits at Max. With armour, 4 hits.

As long as you take your time and asses your surroundings before moving forward, the game isn't hard at all. I've only ever died on a boss because I was either:
Low level
Or right level but trying to find it's weakness on first go.

Other times have been when I fell of a ledge or there is one cheap death in Demons Souls in the Prison level. It's such a great game though. A solid RPG that you can play at your own pace because rushing will get your killed.

Dark Souls is a great game as long as you prepare yourself to invest a lot of time into a singleplayer game.

I do like single player games but I am also OCD about if I need to play Demon's Souls before Dark Souls?

Do you mean storywise? Not really. As far as I know don't connect at all.

Both aren't related. More of a spiritual successor (A System Shock to Bioshock as it where).

If you play Demons Souls you get an awesome game and learn the game from the beginning. Dark Souls isn't related but has all the same (plus more) mechanics of Demons Souls. So you can really play any without needing to play the other as they aren't related in terms of story but are in terms of gameplay and mechanics.

Edit: I meant ASSESS!!

RE: Would I like Dark Souls?
Personally, the games aren't that hard. I agree with Cody on them being overhyped. Honestly, I found Dark Souls easier than Demon's Souls, due to the refillable health potion whenever you rest at one of the fires. The only issue I had was playing in human form and forgetting to turn of my connection, since I encountered a few other players who liked to play dirty. But, in the game itself, every death is pretty fair, as you only die if you don't think before doing anything.

Also, I encountered a really weird glitch in the Painting world.

RE: Would I like Dark Souls?
So I went ahead and got Dark Souls. Now that my internet has been resolved, I was curious is anyone wants to join me and make fresh toons and co-op through the game. This is on the PS3 sadly.

RE: Would I like Dark Souls?
I would love to help, but chances are I would need to make a new character and power level for a few days, unless you have a character around level 100 XD

Well then...power level a new character it is. See you in a few days, perhaps after I become a Sunbro.
