The nostalgia thread

Oh man... I love it when I feel nostalgic; it doesn't happen enough. I hear they're remaking Sailor Moon for 2013 and bam! I recalled how I'd rush to the TV to watch every episode and I even had Usagi's wand that I'd play with. When you're a kid you have no idea that the English dub you're watching is total crap.

I also swoon over classic Eggman. I think it was Sonic and Knuckles in a game store that was the first video game I'd ever played, plus there were two TV series I'd watch. I can't stand the one with Scratch and Grounder anymore but I still like the one with Princess Sally.

Nintendo hurt my soul with the Star Fox release for the 3DS. I was feeling nostalgia more than ever before and then... The characters spoke. I had no idea it was redubbed until I bought the game. There went all my enjoyment out the window.

Fun fact: Whenever my work calls me my cellphone plays General Pepper's "We need your help, Star Fox!" message. It manages to get me pumped to go in to work instead of being sad about losing a day off.

Anytime i'm reminded of the following, nostalgia floods me-

The 90's were NOT 10 years ago.
I'll be 27 at the end of the year.
I'm a first Nintendo generation.
I can't figure out X-Box and have never owned one.

I'm way too excited over the reboot. Hopefully it will be at least as good as the original.
