Game of Thrones (TV VERSION)
Does anyone here like it? Let's discuss it. Beware with spoilers.

(Not sure if I should post here or in Miscellaneous area)

RE: Game of Thrones
I think we should have seperated threads for the tv series and the books for obvious spoiler reasons.

(To be honest I'm not sure what the difference between general and misc is)

RE: Game of Thrones
Yeah maybe you're right. What about let this thread to the TV serie and open a new called A Song of Ice and Fire? Or would it be too confusing?

Made an edit to title of the thread to denote which version is going to be discussed. Don't mind me. If people can keep it spoiler-free, feel free to mingle in the two threads.

Whoa, thanks.

What do you think of the TV Version? Good? Bad? Ok, but they're changing too many things?

RE: Game of Thrones (TV VERSION)
I haven't read the books, but watched the tv-series since EVERYONE was talking about it.

To be honest I so far find it to be pretty average. Though I have to give it some kudos for actually being able to make me watch through it since I'm usually not a big fan of these kind of fantasy at all.

Also, Snow and the youngest Stark girl are the best characters in the show.

RE: Game of Thrones (TV VERSION)
I loved the story when I started reading it, I just love Fantasy stories. The TV version is great, HBO is doing a nice job. First season was just like the book, they made some changes in the second season but I don't see any problem, it's still a great adaptation!

Arya and Jon are my fav chars too, but I also like Dany, Tyrion and Bran (so mainstream).

Tyrion is the best character and the guy who plays him is great. I also loved his character in the books.

Does anyone else find Daenerys annoying in the TV show?
Her best scene was the end of episode 10 in season 1, imo. Where can I get a dragon?

Yeah, she's more annoying in the TV show, especially in the second season(although she is also a bit annoying in the book). But next season she'll rock.

RE: Game of Thrones (TV VERSION)
I basically find most of her angsty encounters with Jorah Mormount annoying.
I don't remember which book this was, but
It's like, "I want him, but I don't want him." Then "GTFO LEAVE I don't HAVE to do anything!!!!1"

RE: Game of Thrones (TV VERSION)
The bright side about changing so much of the story in the series is that it surprises even who already read the books. The dark side is that it eventually becomes harder and harder to adapt. I was really disappointed of how Deanerys's story changed in the series. The chapter in which she enters the House of the Undying is imo her most important in Clash of Kings, but the series made it look like it was far less important. Well, I don't know how it influences the rest of the story, since I'm in about page 130~140 of A Storm of Swords and it's almost like just finished the book's introduction

Read all the books so far and I didn't think the show was gonna be able to live up to it but it totally surpassed all my expectations. First show to really grip me since Prison Break
