In Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door all of Mario's partners from the previous game were set to make cameos, as opposed to just Parakarry and Bow. Their fully updated sprites can still be found in the games coding.

Aww, I would have loved to see all of these characters in one place. Probably too much work.

I don't think it would have been TOO much work to put stationary characters on a map and add a few lines of texts to them like they did with Bow. Then again I am not a programmer so I have no idea how much time it takes to do something like that.

That's a shame. As much as I loved Thousand Year Door and the partners I still missed Goombario and the gang.
