Control pads.
Be it a keyboard, a joystick, a motion sensor or whatever... what's your favourite control method for games?

RE: Control pads.
I prefer a SNES pad to play Cannon Fodder even though a mouse is objectively better.

The main reason I got an Xbox instead of a PS is because of the control pad. Any PS3 owners out there who think the control pad is awful?

RE: Control pads.
RTS I need a keyboard and mouse but as for everything else, going for the controller. (even on my computer bought a wired Xbox 360 controller to plug into my comp.) Big Grin

RE: Control pads.
I forgot to say that I use arcade sticks for fighting games. Oddly enough I don't use them for arcade games..

RE: Control pads.
I do miss joysticks as a default.

Not forgetting handhelds. Loco Roco was maybe one of the best games ever.

I love the GameCube and Xbox 360 controller. N64 was ....strange but I liked it and the Wii feels great. I think controllers depends on the game you play. For Fighting games and some arcade games (Like Metal Slug and TrialsHD/EVO) I use a fight stick. For hard core Racing games I do enjoy using the wheel (though the last one I owned was for PS1) and I do have a lot of fun with the Guitar Hero controller. FPS works well on Keyboard and Wii. RTS works great with Keyboard.

Kinect....can [expletive deleted] off.

FPS-RTS-MMO-RPG: Mouse&Keyboard
Fighter: Gamecube Controller (I own a converter for PC)
Retro Arcade: Joystick

Anything else doesn't really matter. As long as it's not those gimmicky controls that ruin zelda games.

RE: Control pads.
I love the really light iMac keyboard for PC games, it's small and efficient with great battery life, and it only weighs like 1.5 lbs. Works great for FPS's and RPGs

I dunno dude. I always thought it was quite fun to spend 5 minutes trying to slash either vertically or horizontally to kill a measly Deku Baba.

RE: Control pads.
Xbox controller is the best apart from the d-pad, only at a tie with Gamecube in my opinion.

But Sony's controller is just eugh, it's designed for the Japanese I assume, it's way to wide, and the distance between R1/2 and sticks is quite a lot, also dem convex triggers.

Dreamcast was good too, bit large, but I got over it.

RE: Control pads.
Gamecube controller (wavebird) is the best for anything, but shooters, than the ps2 controller, if it was wireless. The wii controller felt really good holding normally with a nunchuck, but the lack of buttons is disappointing.
