RE: Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire remakes?
YES. That is all. I LOVED the hoenn region and it would be orgasmic to return to it aslong as they dont ruin it with 3d features, but regardless i would still buy it.

And also, first post Wink

If the next pokemon game is only for the 3DS than I'd have to stop fallowing the pokemon franchise for a long time. Money doesnt fly out of my ass like it used to and I gave into nintendo's retarded console scheme and bought a DSlite sooner than I was suppose to.

The DS has been going for just under 10 years. They need to move to their new consoles. There's been around 13 games for the DS that are Pokemon related. 3DS has been out for a year so, move the franchise over. You can't make a big deal about Nintendo simply moving on their new handheld. Look at the progression of Gameboy > Gameboy Colour > Gameboy Advance > DS.

ummm I said that I'd have to stop fallowing them for a long time because money didnt fly out of my ass like it used to.
I never bought a gameboy, only a gameboy color and then a gameboy advanced SP. There were pretty big changes during those times which included graphics. The only difference I see between the DS and 3DS is that one is unnecessarily bigger and has 3D, and that's it. They barely took a leap with it and might as well have called it something else. It's still pretty much the same thing but theyre just packing more on with the same name in little bursts rather than innovating a bunch of new things in one. It's like them selling a basic keyboard, then they release the same keyboard but this time the keys light up, then they rerelease it again but this time it's bigger, lights up, and has a feature that wipes your ass for you.

really now. I dont know why they dont just make it as a different portable console. Am I the only one here that actually pays attention to their business schemes??? I love nintendo but I just really hate when they pull crap like this. Just because I said I couldnt fallow the pokemon franchise for a while doesnt mean I hate them, I just think that there isnt much of a necessary different between the DS versions and if they stopped having it available in some way so that people with the older versions of the DS can play it too than i'd be a little disappointed.

The difference between DS and 3DS is the same difference with Gameboy to Gameboy Colour. It's just got better graphics/sound/added features that the previous version didn't have. It is a fact though that the 3DS has more "horsepower" than the original DS. Upgrading system is just Nintendos' way(along with Sony and Microsoft)
Gameboy > Gameboy Pocket > Gameboy light
Gameboy colour
GBA > GBA SP > GBA Micro
DS > DS Lite > DSi > DSI XL
3DS > 3DS XL

If you buy the original it's still the same console regardless of the redesigns 5/6 years on. There is a reason to buy the 3Ds then.

I'm not going to have an extended debate with you because I dont want to have to repeat myself over and over, but I will say you still missed my point by a long shot.

My reply is addressing your first paragraph and showing that there is a difference between the DS and 3DS and why it is worth buying one. That a comparison can be easily made between Gameboy to Gameboy colour.

No joke, I couldn't understand what you were saying in the second paragraph though.

RE: Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire remakes?
i see a lot of difference between the original DS and the 3DS. i like how the 3DS is more connected with wi-fi and all that than the DS (never tried a DSi or DSLite, so i can't say for those). it's thinner than my DS also ;p honestly i wouldn't have gotten it either unless there were a looottt of 3DS exclusive games that i wanted, but it was a gift from my dad, so i appreciate it haha. it's really nice though, makes my DS look so old ):

RE: Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire remakes?
NO. Too soon.

We need an honest and true remake of Red, Yellow, Blue, and Green. Not that FireRed and LeafGreen shit. Even Soul Silver and Heart Gold sucked.

They need remakes that are EXACTLY like the original, just updated graphics. AND they need to be for the 3DS since it is the most current DS available. Regular DS games look like shit on the 3DS and it makes the 3DS seem like a waste of money since they aren't making traditional Pokemon games for it yet. I'm super disappointed they are making Black & White II for only the DS. Sucks.

@1) The point of Fire Red and Leaf Green was give the first generation of Pocket Monsters the updated look over what have (had) at the time. The GBAs' ability to display your old Pokemon Red with 16bit-RBG on a 240 × 160 screen resolution(and more). What's your definition of a true remake?

@2)
Here's a little "Did you know"
Did you know that if you hold Start and Select on a 3DS and press A to start a DS game, you can downscale the DS original game screen to stop any quality lost due to upscaled games. D:

RE: Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire remakes?
I still own my old Sapphire game after my friend upgraded to a DSLite. He gave me his old run-down DS along with Sapphire, and I've beat that shit at least 4 times, mainly with Mudkipz. I also got Kyogre (painfully) this last time by buying 40 NET BALLS. I wasted my master ball earlier (or did I save it for Rayquaza?) and it took me well over an hour to get Kyogre. I also own myself an old GBA copy of Super Mario Bros 3 and the Mario Arcade thingy that had the POW block and some spiky shells n shit. It also came with some cool different levels. Man I wish I still had a DS.

RE: Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire remakes?
I absolutely NEED these games on 3DS. In my opinion, Hoenn is the most diverse & fun to explore region of all (and has the best music, without a doubt). If they are eventually released, I bet they'll be called something like "Radiant Ruby & Sparkling Sapphire".
