DYK- Space Invaders
The creator of Space Invaders, Tomohiro Nishikado originally called the game "Space Monsters" but Taito, the company that distributed the game forced a change in the title to "Space Invaders" two months before release.

The aliens also used to be humans, before they were monsters.
