Alan Wake: Max Payne References
The pages found in Alan Wake's apartment, The Sudden Stop, are references to Max Payne, another game made by Remedy Entertainment.

The voice reading the pages is James McCaffrey, who is also the voice of Max Payne. The pages themselves allude to elements in the game, like Max Payne's wife and child an painkillers.

There's also a mental patient that mentions making a game with "Mullet Time," parodying Bullet Time.
