You bought SF25th anniversary? Whyyyyyyyy?

Because the only SF games I had prior were an Anniversary Edition of Hyper Street Fighter 2 for PS2 (a system that I don't have anymore), Street Fighter IV Collector's Edition and Street Fighter Alpha (PSN). Got all the games in a bundle, plus a crap ton of random stuff like soundtracks, movies and the cartoon series. It was worth it for me, at least.

RE: Collections
I think that everyone has certain things above all else that they hold dear and will for the rest of their lives. In my case, these are things I developed in interest in since childhood. They rank in this order: The Brave Little Toaster movie (first one only), the Tintin comics, and Alice in Wonderland.

Well, Lewis Carroll is dead, as is Herge, so only Jerry Rees remains (and he'd better for a very long time!). Here's the thing: If I am a fan of something I really want to have something special of it as well as let that person know how much I admire them. I just got that chance and this will stick with me for the rest of my life.

I have a routine of checking eBay everyday for certain things. One of these things is the Brave Little Toaster. So far, besides the movie, I only had a pin and the soundtrack. What I longed for was an animation cel of Kirby. Not only do I love that grump with a heart of gold to death I adore the late great Thurl Ravenscroft who voiced him. Scratching your head? Well, you actually know this fellow without "knowing" him, so to speak. Let me help you:

Yes, that's who those magnificent pipes belong to and it's thanks to TBLT that I found this out.

Cels for the other two god-awful movies Jerry had nothing to do with pop up all the time but ones for the original are hard to come by. One of Blanket with an offer to have Jerry actually sign it showed up one day and so I messaged the seller asking if they by any chance had a Kirby cel they'd be willing to part with. Indeed they did, we made plans for her to post it, and I'd be ready to swoop in when she did so. But on one particular message she included a detail that made my jaw drop: Her name. Rebecca.

Yes, I am such a fantard that I knew Jerry's wife's name. I was talking to the Rees family (No wonder the signing option was available!). This cel was coming out of Jerry's personal collection just because a fan wanted one so badly.

At last the day came and, as you know from the previous blog, I bought it. Today, just as I was leaving for work, the mail lady was walking it up. I had to wait eight and a half freaking hours to open the darn thing!

Here is the beautiful cel I received:

But that's not all:

I CRIED. I cried my eyes out. That's just above and beyond. Jerry made a fan's dreams come true right here and actually managed to make his film even dearer to me. How great is it when someone who made something you love so much ends up being such a terrific person? Not only do I have a one of a kind cel but something personal made only for me. I'm almost crying all over again.

RE: Collections
You know I never really posted my collection or anything rare I have.

Possibly more then 100 360 games
About 20 PS3 and 20 PS2 games.
20 Wii Games
12 3DS Games
13 Vita Games
2 Wii U Games
20 Original Xbox Games (About 6 in their original cases)
>10 Gamecube games
Vectorman for the Mega Drive (It's the only game I have for it, I can't even play the console, I don't have the connections, or the controller)
About 10 Dreamcast games.

As for Gameboy, and DS I probably have around 10 original gameboy games hanging around, about 20 GBA, and around 10 DS games hanging around.

These are the only rare items I have, or at least consider rare to an extent.

God Hand - PS2
Skies of Arcadia - Dreamcast
Skies of Arcadia: Legends - Gamecube
Legend of Zelda Collectors Edition - Gamecube
Legend of Zelda The Minish Cap - Game Boy Advance
Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword - Wii

That's about it, but it's kind of interesting how the rarest, or most expensive games I have can go for quite a high price online for some reason.

RE: Collections
Damn it, retrolinkx, you woke up my OCD.

I updated my old inventory list of games and in the spoilers you can see everything in numbers. Numbers because listing everything by name would be utterly pointless.
• PlayStation: 41 games, 5 downloadable, 10 pirated & 26 demo discs
 • PlayStation 2: 40 games & 3 demo discs
 • PlayStation 3: 41 on disc, 23 downloadable, 1 Mini & MGS Database
 • Dreamcast: 6 games
 • Famicom: 1 game
 • NES: 7 games
 • DS: 11 games
 • 3DS: 2 games & 2 downloadable
 • GBC: 3 games & 1 virtual console
 • GBA: 8 games
 • Neo Geo X: 1 game (+ 20 pre-loaded)
 • Mega Drive: 1 game
 • Master System: 1 game
 • PC: 21 games, 3 game/utility discs & 1 demo. Note here that these are only then ones I have on disc, I don't even want to start counting the ones I have on my hard drive.
 • Amiga: 112 games, 11 doubles, 22 demos, 11 music disks, 3 odds & 44 unsorted. The unsorted ones are mostly utility programs and curiosities but some might be games, I can't be bothered to check.
 • Mobile: 30 in my current cell. Listing these because I do have some actual games including RE, SH and Doom titles.
Out of the consoles mentioned I only lack a Famicom and a Master System. I also counted any collection discs as one game.

@Mass Distraction
Don't forget the Atari 2600/5200 ;D

God Hand isn't exactly rare but it's well worth owning as a hidden gem. It goes for a decent amount on eBay considering it's from 2 generations ago, but it'll most likely increase overtime. If you have it sealed on PS2....well then. That's a lot of money there.

I have a few new items to add.
Pokemon Emeral Factory sealed
Hyrule Historia
Pokemon Black DSi sealed. (Thanks for going out Blockbuster)

Oh I wish. Those things cost a fortune, at least around here.

^

I'd love to see it.

My Zelda collection is lacking, even though I'm a huge fan, I don't even own Majora's Mask for the N64, and even worse.....................
I don't own Ocarina of Time for the N64 either
Oh, I'd also like to add my Mega Drive collection has gone up from 1 to 2. I recently bought Shadow Dancer: The Secrets of Shinobi, along with a Univeral Adapter, that I had no idea was in the other game I bought.

I have also cleaned out the Mega Drive, washed it, and currently awaiting compressed air, so that I can get rid of all the dust on the motherboard. There were a lot of mess ups, but I think I can get it working as long as I do everything right this time.
