I have not gotten scammed recently but back in the old days of Runescape M-A-N was that shit INSANE! You sell bank nots of iron armor and weapons and pretend it is addy gear and before a patch, that made you double check the item you were buying/selling, you could EASILY scam people. Or one of my favorites was get some low level players and "escort" them through the wilderness to a very rare drop full of awesome gear and quests and then PK them so they lose EVERYTHING which if yo were just starting out was ALOT. Also the drop your item then wait one minute then hold alt then F4 for duplicated items.

Happened in Tibia as well, when your inventory is full any item(s) you got from NPCs would be dropped and ANYONE could pick it up as well. That same thing happened in Maple Story but that was years and years ago.

Now all people gotta look out for are spam email from "Blizzard" that say you won a free Mists of Pandaria expansion and just follow this link or if you were DUMB enough to listen to the gold farmers in game.

I deleted like 90% of my steam friends because none of em talked to me and I only have one or two friends on PSN so no real concerns on either end.

I once had some random guy on PSN send me a few messages telling me I'd won free money and all I had to do was go to some shady website.

Seems legit.

I had these things all the time!

Actually, what I hate the most is when one of my PSN Friends sends me a message that says something like "Send this to 25 of your PSN pals and get 60$ of PSN money!"

In other words, they were stupid enough to believe it was true!

Those ones aren't only annoying, but prove people are stupid.
