Little help with PC hardware

What do you think of these parts? I'm planning on making a decent gaming PC, and I want to be sure to pick out good parts.

Here's all the parts that I need:

BIOSTAR TA870U3+ AM3 AMD 870 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

XFX HD-657X-CNF2 Radeon HD 6570 2GB 128-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

Rosewill Green Series RG530-S12 530W Continuous @40°C, 80 PLUS Certified, Single 12V Rail, Active PFC "Compatible with Core i7,i5" Power Supply

Planning on buying them from Newegg. Asking here because sometimes the reviews there are a bit tedious (which I don't always trust).

Anyways, do these parts qualify for a "decent gaming" PC?

As someone who takes specs at face value, I'd say these are fine, but I know that many people say that some 2GB cards are better than other 2GB cards.

Well, as with everything techie, there's gonna be some who say "ATI iz de best 4eva" and some who say "NVIDIA is da bawm" and then both subsequently throw verbal excrements at each other.

My laptop runs a 256MB NVIDIA and I've been able to play all the modern games that say "minimum 512MB" on decent settings - So thumbs up NVIDIA.
In any case, a 2GB graphics card will be kick-ass for pretty much all games regardless of the brand (though stick with the known brands, like the one you listed).

Thanks, will do! I agree, 2 gigs is pretty much all I need. I gotta worry about the budget though, I'm penniless as a dog right now.

Sure you can run games...but, I expect issues to be a problem for you.
The Motherboard looks pretty decent and should keep your futureproof but I see your power supply being a problem. It's on the weak end so I expect that to be a major problem there. According to those who bought there have been some issues with it.

Hmm, well I got other options like Corsair PSU's.. but they seem to be pricey but, I guess you pay for quality eh?

I had in mind one of these two (prices seem pretty good):
