In the 360 version of Tales of Vesperia, a drawer in the Capua Torim lighthouse contains a pirate hat with the following statement:

"Inside the drawer, there's a pirate outfit for girls. A name is written, but it's hard to make out because of heavy wear. 'Pa.....'?"

In the later PS3 release of the game in Japan, a bonus playable character is added named Patty who is a young girl pirate.

Also, in the games coding, there are HEX callouts for each of the playable characters:

"YUR" "Yuri Lowell"
"EST" "Estelle"
"KAR" "Karol Capel",
"RIT" "Rita Mordio",
"RAV" "Raven",
"JUD" "Judith",
"RAP" "Repede" (aka "Rapido"),
"FRE" "Flynn Scifo" (aka "Furen Shifo")

There is an additional one for "PAT" which could suggest Patty Fleur. Seeing as Flynn was also added as a playable character for the PS3 version, it may be possible that all were intended to be fully playable characters in the 360 version and were ultimately cut for some reason.

The song DeltaMax rom DDR Universe 3 and DDRII is a song whose BPM starts out at 100 and increases by 1 BPM per quater beat until it reaches a climax of 573. Though these numbers may not seem like much, the number 573 is very important to the company that makes the DDR games,Konami. Konami is represented by the goroawase number 573.5 in Japanese is 'go',which is changed to the voiceless 'ko',7 in Japanese is 'nana',which is shortend to 'na',and 3 in Japanese is 'mittsu".which is shortned to 'mi'. Therefore,573 equals 'Ko-na-mi" (Note: this number is used in many Konami games, just like the Konami code is,and isn't isolated to just DDR)

Saw that I accidentally posted this in the wrong forum so I deleted it and reposted it here sorry about that:

I'm not sure if this has been submitted but David Jaffe's (God of War director) original vision for the ending of God of War 3 was massively different from the way it played out. Basically you would kill Zeus within the first 5 minutes of the game opening up a vacuum on Mount Olympus. Egyptian and Norse gods would step out and challenge the Greek gods for dominion over mankind. Kratos would fight a giant sphinx monster and freeze it with the Medusa head to explain where the sphinx came from. Kratos finally realizes that the only way to truly kill the gods is to get the people to stop believing in them and this is achieved by the gods continued war among themselves and the people suffer and are neglected because of it. Then you use the sixaxis to slit Kratos wrists and go to Hades to be with his family. And the game ends with the three wise men heading towards Bethlehem. Now this is a bit long and would probably be best suited for a Did You Know God of War video rather than a post. Just so no one thinks I am pulling this out of nowhere here's the interview for proof, it starts at 10:45:

Did you know, Ninja Gaiden Shadow ("Shadow Warriors" in Europe and Australia) for the Gameboy was not originally planned to be a Ninja Gaiden game? The game was actually going to be a port of the NES game "Shadow of the Ninja" developed and published by Natsume, but due to publishing issues found its way into Tecmo's hands and was reworked to be a Ninja Gaiden prequel.

In Nintendo Power vol. 28 page 67 there is a screenshot of the game where it is still named "Shadow of the Ninja" with the text describing:

Quote:Another one to look for is Shadow of the Ninja, an excellent Game Boy adaptation of the NES ninja thriller. This version includes new settings and new enemies along with the same great play control and the same cool acrobatic moves.

Birdy the scarecrow from Conker's Bad Fur Day was based on a programmer at Rare nicknamed "Beardy" (hence Conker initially thinking that he said his name was Beardy). He asks for Mepsipax because Beardy likes to drink Pepsi-Max, but they had to juxtapose the letters for copyright reasons.

Night's into Dreams was originally going to have a sequel for the Dreamcast, it was discussed, and was going to use a "motion controller" to play the game, but it was never put into practice

As seen below, the 3 pictures on the right show this controller.

GunValkyrie (a planned Dreamcast game) was meant to be played with the Dreamcast Controller and the Light Gun at the same time.

Source (To be honest, it may not be great source, but googling it comes up with relevant results)

The High Resolution Patch for Half Life/Opposing Force/Blue Shift was originally built for the Dreamcast, for it's exclusive Side Story Blue Shift (which in itself was ported to the PC). As Half Life, along with Blue Shift never came out for the Dreamcast, it was then ported to PC with the High Res patch.
The Dreamcast's code name was Katana.
Sega made a lot of unreleased hardware for the Dreamcast including, a
Also, a small Sega fact, Sega mean "Wank" or "To Masturbate" in Italian. Which was a big reason to why it was popular in Italy, and is rumoured to be a reason for the "Harder it gets" adverts.

There are hints that Ana may actually be Ness's Mom in Earthbound for the SNES. The translation of Earthbound Zero and the Game Boy Advance port of Mother 1+2 retroactively change the first game's date from 1988 to 1980, making it possible for Ana to have a child Ness's age in 199X. Gamebook art for Ness's Mother also shows her holding a frying pan which was Ana's weapon of choice in Earthbound Zero and they possess some physical similarities.

Of course, this also suggests that Ninten is Ness's father, the biggest nod to this being that Ness's father gives Ness his signature hat when he is a baby, a hat that is very similar to the one Ninten wears in Earthbound Zero.
