Now, the game I wanna do isn't THAT difficult... I think. It's mostly a "Choose your option" kind of game. Unfortunately, I hit a brick wall right from the start.

I don't know anything about game making, so I've tried looking at Google to know how I can make games. But the only sort of program-thingies out there are like game-making kits, with their own images, commands and stuff like that, which I don't want. I want to learn how to make stuff myself.

So my question is, does anybody know a sort of program to make games? And if so, is their and easy tutorial on how to make different commands yourself? (For instance, Python or something...)]]>

I remembered these days, that there was a scene in The Secret of Mana, where the hero was captured by cannibals and cooked. But before he was "ready to eat", the cannibals had a reason to leave the fireplace and the heroine helped him to escape.

The point of writing this: I still know, what reason they had - but only the german version. Claude Moyse (you already know him), couldn't translate the english joke into german, so he let the so called "goblins" shout

"Hey, schnell! Die LINDENSTRASSE fängt gleich an!" (Hey, hurry! The LINDENSTRASSE will start soon!)

Lindenstraße is the title of one of germany's oldest soap operas. So it was as surprising as it was funny to read the title of this TV-show in a game from Japan.

At the time of the release of SoM I also read in a magazine, that all other languages had different "reasons" for the goblins to leave their food alone. And I have no idea, what jokes were inplemented in the other languages nor how to find them in languages I don't speak.

At least I thought it would be a funny DYK, but I don't can finish it without help. So, when you think, it's worth a DYK, help to finish it, but if it has no potential to got ever posted, you can ignore it n.n']]>

I take it out and put it back in: nothing. I played the level a couple more times to see if it was a one-time fluke: nothing. I cleaned the disc with pure water and a cloth: nothing. I'm at a loss and because of this, I never beat SMG 100% despite owning it for 5 years.

I plugged it in and it worked for about a half hour before hibernating and shutting off.
My laptop can only work with a battery, and now even plugged in it will sound like it's about to start up for two seconds and then shuts off. I can't tell if it's charging at all. What should I do?]]>
