This kinda has something to do with video games, in a way. I don't care, this'll be my last post on these forums since DYKG will only accept stuff on the new site from now on. Anyways...

In the animated cartoon Regular Show, there is a recurring villain named Garrett Bobby Ferguson. He has long brown hair, a beard, and is a world record holder for an arcade video game. This character's appearance is most definitely an homage to real life video game champion Billy Mitchell, who also sports long hair and a beard and is also a record setting video gamer.

Authors Note: I just watched your latest Metroid Video and now I'm giving more facts that I knew about this series.
==============================
Metroid Did you Know Facts: Some facts gamers may know already but I'd rather post it then have it be not known about. Enjoy.

Original Metroid: (Game Creation)

• Due to limitations in the NES hardware, the unit was unable to portray Samus crawling. The Morph Ball was created to simplify the required animation to the point that the NES could handle it.

• The original Metroid named the Morph Ball "Maru-Mari", which is simply a transliteration of its Japanese name, まるまり marumari. This is derived from the verb 丸まる marumaru, meaning "to roll into a ball."

Resource: http://www.metroidwiki.org/wiki/Morph_Ball

• The melody from the Tourian theme music from Metroid, Super Metroid, and Metroid: Zero Mission is identical to the melody in the later half of the piece "Gnomus" from Modest Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition.

======
Metroid Fusion: (Fun Fact)

• This game might have supported the Metroid Manga. In the Japanese version, once the player clears the ending credits there given completely different ending-images (to show clear time and item collecting results). These images (all but one) feature Samus in the white ‘training’ outfit she was seen in during the beginning of the Manga in the 2nd chapter. As well as some shots of ‘Gray Voice’ the Chozo elder.

======
Metroid Prime 3: (Game Creation/Fun Fact)

• Notice anything familiar about the orange-ish ‘Fuel Gel’ canisters lining the perimeter of the south Jungle hall on Planet Bryyo? During the level design of the area, Retro Studios took inspiration from Tourian. If you look closely, you can see the likeness of those red-tubular barriers in that area.

NES Tourain:

To make more of a connection, in one of the trailers for Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, blueprints made by the Galactic Federation for a future Aurora Unit complex are shown, identical to Mother Brain's chamber in Tourian from Super Metroid. The blueprints from Corruption may have played a role in the construction of Sector Zero.

http://www.metroid-database.com/mp3/Aurora3.jpg

It is also possible that Space Pirates from Zebes had gained access to the blueprints and reconstructed Tourian in Super Metroid based on them.

• In the European release, Admiral Dane does not say “Damn!” but “No!”

• There is an Easter egg placed in the game. While aboard Samus’ ship, click the black decoder on the upper center of the ships-controls. If you dial special combinations of the alien-code, you will get voice messages from the game’s creators. Note that each person has their own code.
The voice messages are from Yoshio Sakamoto, Kensuke Tanab, Kenj Yamamoto, Iwata and Miyamoto.
Metroid Other M: (Fun Facts)

• Anthony Higgs shares his initials with Armstrong Houston, a character from the NintendoPower Super Metroid comic series. Both characters also share a similar role as a muscular, friendly partner accompanying Samus’ mission.

• Did you know during the flashback with MB, the Scientist seen in this cut scene (Who says: "Fascinating"), is the same scientist Samus met in SuperMetroid when delivering the Metroid-specimen?

In the Sonic Adventure 2 beta, Sonic, Knuckles, and Eggman were the only planned playable characters. Shadow and Rouge were to appear in cutscenes, but not playable. Tails wasn't shown, so it was assumed he wouldn't appear in the game at all.

Also in the beta, Shadow was named Terios (meaning reflection of), and Rouge was named as Nails to contrast to Knuckles.

In the Sonic 3 manual, Knuckles favorite food is grapes. This is shown in Sonic Generations, where in Sky Sanctuary (a level from Sonic & Knuckles, and where you un-petrify Knuckles) grape vines can be seen growing on it.

Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest was created only for the American audience because Square thought the Americans didn't understand RPGs so they made a super-simple Rpg for the US. The game was taken to Japan as Final Fantasy USA: The Mystic Quest, and in Europe as Mystic Quest Legend. The name change in Europe was because Final Fantasy Adventure (The first Seiken Densetsu) was renamed in Europe as Mystic Quest. These two games were the first FF games released in Europe.

Squall Leonhart's (the protagonist of FF 8) birthday is in August, the 8th month of the year. His zodiac makes him a Leo, referencing his connection to lions.

In Viewtiful Joe, when talking to Hulk Davidson, he asks Joe "what're you, some sort of Mega Man or something?" referencing Capcom's own Megaman series.
In SSB 64 the starting eight characters are placed in the order of when they first appeared in their respective titles on the character selection screen, starting with the oldest, Mario and Donkey Kong, and leading to the most recent, Pikachu.
Also in SSB 64, Masahiro Sakurai stated that final smashes were to be implemented, but the Nintendo 64 could not achieve this. Sakurai recorded voices such as, Ness saying, “PK Starstorm!” and Captain Falcon saying, “Come on!” Many other voices were also recorded.

A magazine, Electronic Gaming Monthly, stated that Sonic and Tails were unlockable in Melee. The magazine stated you had to defeat 20 enemies in Cruel Melee. This was easily proved fake, but some fans fell for it.
Also, a small website stated that Toad was unlockable in Melee. They had strategies on how to unlock him and fake screenshots. This was proved fake by the many mistakes that the website made.

Did you know, the character Rain (first introduced in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3) is a parody of the Prince song, "Purple Rain." Its also nice to mention that he does wear purple, and his story was designed that he was an actual prince of the realm of Edenia.

Kano and Noob Saibot were originally meant to be in Mortal Kombat 4. However, due to Ed Boon wanting new characters. Reiko and Jarek were put in the game instead of the originals.

The character Ermac first started as a rumor in the original MK1, as the game have ERMAC (Error Macro), to make sure any problems didn't happen with the game. This spread wide rumor, that Ermac was another hidden character within the game, and even some skilled artists got a red palette for the character (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v460/h...rmac.jpg). The same thing happened with Skarlet, except as a coding glitch in MK II.

Noob Saibot is Tobias Boon backwards, he is also Sub-Zero's (MK II) older brother.

Cyrax and Sektor were once referenced as Mustard and Ketchup, and have some combos referenced in the 3D games (Deadly Alliance and Armageddon).

In the original Mortal Kombat, there was a glitch that allowed you to do Johnny Cage's fatality multiple times. This glitch was also referenced in MKII, where a fatality knocked off three heads instead of one. The creators also wanted Jean-Claude Van Damme to act as Johnny Cage for the first game, but was unable to due to busy movie work. Johnny's clothes are based off of Van Damme's movie Bloodsport.

In the Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks, when you perform the fatality on Goro, Johnny Cage stops you, and and finishes off Goro instead. This moment is homage to the movie, when Johnny Cage DOES defeat Goro.

I'm not sure of the exact details, but like the article says, this original Gameboy survived a barracks bombing during the Gulf War. Nintendo proudly displays this very Gameboy at the Nintendo World Store in NYC. You know what else is so special about this Gameboy? It still works!!!

In the Japanese-only sequel to Secret of Mana, Seiken Densetsu 3, the 3 main villains each represent a form of Satan.

The Dark Prince- represents Satan as a demon and ruler of the underworld. His main goal in his storyline is to possess the body of Riesz's brother, Elliot, and merge the human world and underworld so he can rule both and the demons be ruled in place of the Mana Goddess. He also makes ties to Satan's life as Lucifer. He was Prince of the "Kingdom of Light" but was hated by his people. He accepted a deal that would cause him to be ruler of the underworld and take down his homeland paralleling Satan's fight against the Kingdom of Heaven.

The Dragon Emperor- represents Satan's animalistic forms as a serpent or dragon (the latter is mentioned in the Christian Book of Revelation).

The Masked Mage- represents Satan's fall from grace (more so than the Dark Prince who is seen as the demonic Satan). The Masked Mage was once a human called Belgar that was Holy City Wendel's Oracle of Darkness and a priest renowned for his skill in healing. He one day found a disease that could not be healed by light magic so he started using dark magic. Though the victim dies before he could find a cure, he continued to dabble in dark magic and eventually found a spell that could revive the dead. He then challenged the Priest of Light, was defeated, then exiled. (This can be seen as Satan [then Lucifer] challenging God for control of heaven and being damned to Hell when his rebellion failed) Belgar then becomes corrupt by the dark magic and becomes the Masked Mage much like Lucifer becoming Satan. Masked Mage much like Satan against Heaven sets to exact revenge against the Holy City Wendel.

Maybe, just discovering this animation, the game could be a lot of different, it could probably a sidescroller which you could move manually, and if stops, it could appear this animation rarely. However, Bit.Trip series have the main goal of rhythm, so they retired the animation and did as automatic sidescroller game (probably).

In the Iceberg Lab, just before Crash and co. teleport to the 10th Dimension, Dr Cortex says "Come now, as we explore a new dimension! It should have been two new dimensions, but we ran out of time." This is a reference to the development of Twinsanity, as they were originally planning to have six worlds, but because of the deadline, only four were finished.

There was also a cut level with its own music called "Gone a Bit Coco" and showed Dr Cortex running around inside Coco Bandicoot's imagination. The level was scrapped, and replaced with "Boiler Room Doom". The music didn't fit the atmosphere of the new level, and was scrapped too, however, one short clip of the music can be heard in the end credits, despite never appearing ingame.
CLIP OF LEVEL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BG_cA3ayf...r_embedded

There was originally going to be a sequel to Crash Twinsanity titled Crash Twinsanity 2: Cortex Chaos. The plot was going to be Cortex holding a supervillain meeting and getting kicked out from being a villain after helping Crash during Twinsanity 1, and it would be up to cortex to get his revenge. Concept art shows cortex clones attacking a huge enemy a la Pikmin. Eventually, the game was scrapped.

In Zone of the Enders, a PS2 launch title, it contains a demo for Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty.

The Zone of the Enders HD collection also contains a demo for Metal Gear Rising.

Both games featured Raiden in the game, and both games are Zone of the Enders.

Pretty interesting right?
I know this is pretty badly explained, but I just didn't know how to make this sound interesting
Also, I may have posted this before, not sure.
