This was a while ago but I was still having to use floatys then and I went down a water slide while I was on vacation (and of course they have to put that at the deep end of the pool) and my floaty came off, and I sank like a rock I was probably under water trying to grab my floaty by jumping up from the bottom of the pool for like a minute at most (it felt like an eternity) but then some random woman (not the lifeguard) helped me out finally. (and that's how I got motivated to learn how to swim without a floaty ladies and gentlemen. Also just in case floaty is a term only in america or something I'm talkin' 'bout those small inflatable rings you see babies and little kids using to swim.)
