Hey, since this thread has been bumped; My Little Pony Fans ... what is it that makes you really like the show? (and shutup everyone, including me, who doesn't get it, I'm genuinely curious)

I haven't seen the show, but to be honest I think the appeal is that it's just a quality show. The animation is fluid and it has a good writer (I've seen stuff she has written before). What also makes it even more fun to watch is probably the very dedicated fanbase. I know from experience that liking something that has a great fanbase sometimes makes it more fun to be a fan, than actually reading/watching/playing the thing itself. From watching the MLP fanbase afar that seems to be the case. I've even read posts from people who just hangs with the fanbase and barely watches the cartoon.
