That could have worked if he just picked the guy instead. That way he could role play through him instead of making up dialog for two characters. And apparently he did a rom hack of Fire Emblem where he also wrote himself into the story, and becomes a love interest. (I'm noticing a pattern here.)

Anyways trying a narrative let's play can be done, but it's better when you're role playing the character you play as; not as the main character and yourself. Like Breetai's low-IN screenshot Let's play of Fallout 2:
