Need help with an Essay.

Okay, so I'll give you guys the short story, there is an opportunity to get a fifth A-Level in my school, all I have to do is write a 5000 word essay about something that will help me in my career or something interesting in general.

What I would like to do is about Video Games, since I'd like to start a career in that, I am wondering what would be something good to write about, right now I'm thinking of something that would grab people's attention, like "How Woman are portrayed in Video Games?" or "Are we heading for the second greatest Video Game Crash?"

I would really like some help in what to write.

Also, I DON'T have to do Video Games, it can be about ANYTHING, so if you really want to give idea's pertaining, to what I want to do or not, at least post, I'd love to write about something interesting.
