Animal Crossing - KK Slider's Inspiration
The guitar playing dog from Animal Crossing, Totakeke "KK" Slider, is based off of Nintendo composer Kazumi Totaka. You may remember his name because he is the composer of Totaka's song, the simple 19 note melody hidden in various Nintendo games he has worked on in the past.

Here's a video of the Mario & Zelda Big Band Live Concert. After he is introduced, the crowd cheers "Totakeke!" at the 1:00 mark. Totaka than grabs a guitar and sits just as KK Slider does, one leg crossed with guitar in lap, while Shigeru Miyamoto holds a picture of KK Slider next to Totaka. There is also a cool tiger with slick shades in the foreground Smile
