Pretty sure it is a reference to Zelda. I think they spelt it wrong on purpose other Easter Eggs in games often reference other games with slight changes in spellings as a hint towards the game/character. The Zelda one makes note of the Deku trees back story and legend behind it. Updated my first post with a Portal Easter Egg too.
