I say go for it - be forward and just tell him how it is and that you want to be with him again. It's better than just satelliting around the issue for too long (then there's a risk of him going off with someone else again)

haha it's not that easy. he knows i want to be with him, he just wants me to be patient because we can't jump right back into what we had before. we were supposed to go on a date yesterday (herp would've dated for a year) but he cancelled last minute because he didn't feel ready yet. i'm sure once he feels ready we'll be back together shortly after. i think what's keeping him from it is his ex from after we dated keeps bothering him and tweeting shit like "i just want to be with you," "i miss him so much," etc etc. he's said he's done with her and will just stay friends, and i want to believe him. i guess he doesn't want to hurt her more by getting back with me so soon.

Well I hope for your sake that he eventually decides he's "ready" - Keep us posted
