How excited are you for the Wii U?

Not excited at all. I think the Wii U is a piece of utter trash and simply a terrible gimmick. It's good to see that Nintendo seems to have put the motion controls away for the Wii U but they've instead replaced it with something completely stupid: useless functionality that artificially increases the difficulty of games by forcing you to simply manage another screen, but not in an acceptable way like the DS did. I hated the Wii, and I only own one for the sake of homebrew and emulators. I have no intentions of buying a Wii U, I am not satisfied with the video market anymore.

Before I'm accused of fanboyism, I also think the PS Vita is a load of crap, Kinect is crap, and the rumors that Microsoft's new console won't play used games just seals the deal for me. I've become very jaded and dissatisfied with mainstream gaming these days and I recently found myself enjoying independent productions on Steam and other avenues much more. 2004-2005 is about when I stopped fully participating in mainstream/current gaming culture. This generation will likely be the last one I give a remote damn about.
