RE: Am I the only one who thinks there will be another Gaming Crash?

Video game developers still have many sequels, spin-offs, and other expected items to be released.
But I also realize that the "market" is specifically aimed for the "average consumer"
So sadly, Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo aren't worried about the hardcore dedicated fans like us, because we simply aren't substantial in numbers.
They're focused on the vast number of "casual consumers" out there.
In other words, they want the "video game virgins" and "average joes".
The industry has grown tremendously, and I think this generation is the actual "Gamer"'s time to take a seat for a short while....maybe longer.
Man, it's weird, I disagree with almost everything you said.
The "rise of the handhelds" was amazing for me when I first played a Siphon Filter game on the PSP! (also, a lot of DS games on the DSi).
I've asked before and I'll ask again... what constitutes a hardcore gamer?
A Hardcore Gamer is someone who puts many hours into video games or who has became an expert in atleast a game or two.
And what constitutes a casual gamer?
