I don't have any particular position in this.... but wherever you work, how can you tell that consoles are dying? There haven't been any new ones released for ages. Are you saying that consoles from 2006 aren't selling very well anymore?
People aren't buying them like they used to. They prefer gaming on tablets/smartphones since it's all connected and they don't need anything extra, plus they can take their tablets/phones with them wherever they go as opposed to an Xbox or any other TV console.
Sales in all gaming consoles have slowly started dying over the last few years. We can't take older generation consoles into the playing field since we do not sell them anymore and they are no longer in production, but we can the more recent ones like PS3, PSP, Xbox, Wii, and DS. Manufacturers and retail establishments keep track of all sales history so what I'm saying is coming from fact. The numbers just do not show and increase in game consoles sales and haven't the last few years.
