I really hate these super guides because when they show up it feels like the game is saying, "Oh, you really suck at this game, but that's okay! I'll hold your hand through the rest of the level so you don't lose anymore lives!" It really just feels like an insult to the player and just takes away the challenge aspect of some games if they are willing to do it for you.
While not exactly related to the Super Guide thing, this is similar.
I hate the 'lives' system in games. It's pointless. Rayman Origins did it right with giving you unlimited tries. No going back to the beginning of the level, no game over from deaths. The fact that other games still use lives is absurd.

Once I got to the 4th or 5th boss, my upgrades apparently were crap and couldn't do anything. Oh and there really isn't a way to go around that. Basically the game is just lying around somewhere till i'm sane enough to play it again.
What about the shit story and characters? Or what about the fact the game never really explains anything in the story itself, forcing you to search for the answers in the "datalogs?" Or how about....
I could go on about why FF13 was terrible, but I'm assuming I won't have to.
