Here's something I found out and something others just don't seem to remember. Did you know that originally the Pyro and the Engineer could not air-blast or move buildings respectively? This was changed in two different patches, one on June 19th for the Pyro: http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/June_19,_2008_Patch and one on July 8th for the Engineer: http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/July_8,_2010_Patch

Oddly enough, both of these mechanics came back to both the Pyro and the Engineer with the 2011 Australian Christmas update in the form of two different weapons. The Phlogistinator, a flamethrower weapon that cannot airblast but instead gives the player crits upon doing enough damage, and the Eureka Effect, a wrench that disables hauling buildings, but gives the player an instant teleport to spawn.
