Norman Osborn was THE Iron Patriot. He was part of the Dark Avengers.
I know he was. But If he is the Iron Patriot, then he must be in the film. Which is impossible since Sony own Spiderman. Which means Iron Patriot will have someone else, and if it's The Mandarin...then WTF?
Not to mention, having to establish the Dark Avengers would be out of place.
