Additionally you can complete the whole game without watching this cutscene, but when you go back to the bridge that triggers the event Sheik will still appear, You can activate this cutscene when Zelda is captured by Gannondorf in a Crystal and taken to his castle, This means that in order for sheik to teach you the fire temple song she must have escaped gannondorfs castle and went to the fire temple to teach you the song, then sneak back to Gannondorfs castle and be captured again Or there are two sheiks
(i love did you know gaming, hope this fun info is useful, i do have a video of it on my phone somewhere but that phone is broken, if i remember correctly it involved the use of the hookshot and jumping around the bridge)
