I do not know if I am middle class or not, I am 22 and live with my mom while I go through college. I do want to get my own place once I earn enough cash but for the time being I am doing just fine here, I help out around the house and take care of her (she is having surgery soon) so I feel that it is not embarrassing to admit this.
Also, I hope it goes okay with your mum. Keep us updated.
