Street Fighter Plot Guide
I originally posted this on reddit but there wasn't a lot of room to list specifics.
http://www.gamefaqs.com/arcade/583626-st...faqs/26094
Over at gamefaqs, a plot guide was created for the entire Street Fighter series. This series also includes Final Fight, Rival Schools, and possibly others. The information is taken from the games themselves (usually the Japanese versions) and official Capcom products/quotes.
I just wanted to list a few things, just to get a conversation going. It's not a light read. If copied and pasted directly onto Word, it's over 800 pages.
- Mike Haggar used to wrestle for the CWA (Capcom Wrestling Association).
- Ryu actually turned "evil" for a second (using the dark hadou) to deliver the final blow that defeated Sagat in the first Street Fighter tournament. Sagat was winning until that moment.
- The storyline for Street Fighter Alpha 2 replaces Street Fighter Alpha 1's storyline. Same can be said for Street Fighter 3: Second Impact, which replaces the first title. Alpha 3 and Third Strike continue the storyline.
- Guy doesn't make an appearance in Final Fight 2 because of his training and adventure in Street Fighter Alpha 2 and 3.
- Adon defeated an unfocused and beaten Sagat after the first Street Fighter tournament to gain the title of Emperor/God of Muay Thai.
- Eagle was hired to defeat Sagat in the first Street Fighter tournament.
- Only one person has survived Akuma's Shungokusatsu: Gen. It involves sending the opponent to hell where that person will suffer from his/her past sins. Gen blocked his mind and spirit from the attack and survived it.
- Ryu was adopted by his master, Gouken. That makes Akuma, Gouken's brother, sort of like his Uncle.
- Akuma and Gouken were both taught by Goutetsu, another master who was eventually killed when Akuma performed the Shungokusatsu on him.
- Akuma isn't necessarily evil and actually saved the life of one kid that wandered into his cave by accident.
- Alex was the winner of the third Street Fighter tournament.
- Ryu beat Alex in a fight sometime after the third Street Fighter tournament.
- Balrog killed one of Dhalsim's elephants with one of his punches.
- After falling out of a window and plummeting to his doom, Belger, the final boss of Final Fight, somehow became a zombie and returned to fight Haggar, Guy, and Cody again. (Canon status questionable)
- Haggar trained Biff Slamkovich and Gunloc. All three have wrestled for the Capcom Wrestling Association.
- Birdie is white during the first Street Fighter tournament but is shown as a black man in the Alpha series. According to Birdie, he was sick during the tournament...
- Birdie knows Titanic Tim, a wrestler from the Capcom Wrestling Association who also happens to be English.
- Blanka hates army ants.
- Jimmy (Blanka) was on his way to see his uncle in Brazil when his plane was shot down by Shadaloo members.
- Blanka and Dan became close friends when Blanka saved a young Dan who happened to be in the jungle
- Dan taught Blanka English. Dan also understands some of Blanka's animalistic grunts and growls.
- Blanka is scared of the fence in Vega's stage.
- Bratken, an over-grown Frankenstein-looking boy, was bribed with toys so that he would join the Mad Gear gang in Final Fight 2.
- Bison's 12 dolls: Enero is January. Fevrier is February. Marz is March. Aprile is April. Satsuki is May. Juni is June. Juli is July. Santamu is August. Xiayu is September. Yanyu is October. Noembelu is November. Decapre is December.
- Vega once saved Cammy's life by helping her escape a building that was set to explode.
- The unit that Cammy joins after the Alpha series is called Delta Red. Her leader is Colonel Wolfman and her teammates include Chief Commander W. Watson Matthew Mcoy, Colonel Keith Wolfman, 1st Lieutenant Lita Luwanda, and George Ginzu.
- Charlie taught Guile and others how to perform the Sonic Boom and Flash Kick and is naturally better at performing them.
- The Sonic Boom is the fastest projectile according to storyline.
- Charlie has perfect vision. He just wears glasses because he likes them.
- Ken never actually fought in the first Street Fighter tournament. Instead, he participated in a USA martial arts tournament and won.
- Charlie was the previous winner of the USA martial arts tournament that Ken had won.
- Gen knew Chun Li's father and has trained Chun Li before.
- Chun Li has Bruce Lee posters in her room.
- It was Edi. E who arrested Cody.
- Cody escaped prison when a huge riot broke out and a portion of his cell was busted open.
- Gunlock of Saturday Night Slammasters once put the moves on Cody's girlfriend Jessica (Haggar's daughter). Cody then proceeded to beat the crap out of him.
- Dan's father, Go Hibiki, was a Muay Thai fighter who fought Sagat at one point. During battle, Go gouged out one of Sagat's eyes. An enraged Sagat beat Dan's father senseless and sent him to the hospital where he later died.
- Dan was actually a student of Gouken before Ryu and Ken. However, he was soon released when he couldn't control his emotions towards the man who killed his father.
- In a battle between Dan and the man who killed his father, Sagat, Dan was actually able to pick up the win. Sagat purposely lost so that Dan could finally find peace knowing that he avenged his father's death.
- Dhalsim's son is named Datta.
- Dhalsim can read minds.
- The elephant Dhalsim rides on is called Kodal.
- Dudley's father's owned a Jaguar.

- Elena's schoolgirl friend and penpal is Narumi.
- Elena is the princess of her tribe. Her father is the tribe's witch doctor and he has a PhD in medicine from a French University.

- Gill's organization is called the Illuminati.
- Gill's secretary's name is Kolin.
- Guile's family (US/Japan): Daughter - Amy/Chris. Wife - Jane/Julia.
- Guile's wife happens to be the sister to Ken's wife, Eliza. That makes Guile and Ken brothers-in-law. They do not talk to each other though because Guile does not like Ken.
- Guile has a pet dog named Safu.
- Guy's fiance, Rena, is the daughter of Genryusai, the master of Guy's master. Genryusai is also the 37th Bushinryu master.
- Maki from Final Fight 2 is the sister of Guy's fiance, Rena.
- The 38th Bushinryu master, Zeku, was eventually beaten by Guy. This makes guy the 39th Bushinryu master.
- Andore Jr. and Poison are good friends so it's most likely that the Andore in Street Fighter 3 is Andore Jr.
- Ryu once hit Hugo Andore with a Shin Shoryuken, one of the most powerful attacks according to storyline, and failed to knock him out.
- The ninjas that like to hang around with Ibuki are Genda, Sanjou, Raion, and Homura Yuuta. Her sparring partner is Sarai Kurosawa. Oh, and there's a racoon named Don.
- Noembelu is the doll T. Hawk is supposed to be looking for, not Juli as is shown in game.
- Capcom based Cody's fighting moves off of Joe from Street Fighter 1.
- Karin from Street Fighter Alpha 3 first appeared in the manga Sakura Ganbaru. Capcom liked her character and added her to the game.

- After the third Street Fighter tournament, Ken wins the US Martial Arts tournament for the third time in a row.
- Ken is 1/4 American and 3/4 Japanese. His mother was Japanese and his father was half American and half Japanese.
- Ken isn't really blonde. He dyes his hair.
- Hinata of Rival Schools uses "Ken Masters Philosophy" in her fighting style.
- Ken didn't always have a last name. When an action figure of Ken came out, Mattel sued Capcom for copyright infringement because they already had a Ken doll. Capcom then came up the last name "Masters" to go with "Ken."
- Ken is the only person to have won the US Martial Arts tournament 3 times.
- Mike Haggar's mayorship ended in 1992.
- Necro's real name is Illia. He was kidnapped at an early age and brought into the G-Project where he turned into the freak he is now.
- Oro is around 150 years old.
- During the third Street Fighter tournament, Oro fought Ryu and defeated him. He also did not appear for his next battle, allowing Alex to move up in the tournament and eventually win.
- Oro bound and sealed his arm with magic so that his opponents may have a better chance against him.
- Phillipe, the mad clown from Final Fight 2, supports Mad Gear financially by smuggling illegal items through the circus.
- Q from Street Fighter 3 really is a living person, even though you can hear a "clang" whenever he's hit and there's no skeleton seen when he's electrified in the game. No one really knows what gender Q is.
- Rainbow Mika from Street Fighter Alpha 3 has a trainer named Yoko Harmegeddon.
- Retsu from the first Street Fighter tournament was a good friend of Gouken but never sparred with Ryu and Ken nor was he Gouken's pupil.
