It's been a while I'm struggling to remember a game I played that they actually gave me an achievement for taking a step. Literally pressing a button.
Unless a game really get into me I won't spend many extra time trying to get achievements. And even when it does, I'll really only try and get them if they actually mean something in-game, i.e. some currency, boosts, items.

I personally just play games and don't care much for gamerpoints. I'm
not replaying the same level a hundred times just to get an achievement. I'd rather play without thinking "damn I missed an achievement" and having less fun
