Steam Summer Sale!
Sorry if this is a repeat thread. I had a quick look around and couldn't see anything, so I decided to make it. But you can totally destroy this shit if a thread already exists.

I just thought it would be cool to kind of share what we've bought and what we think everyone else should check out while everything is ridiculously cheap over the next week or whatever. So far these are my purchases;

- The Orange Box ($9.99 USD)
- Portal 2 ($4.99 USD)
- Penumbra Collector Pack ($4.99 USD)

For a total of $19.97 USD

All pretty standard stuff, but it's still pretty rad for twenty bucks.

RE: Steam Summer Sale!
Bought Counter Strike for £3.

Good deal.

Still I should've bought that full collection for £8.49 which has that, and Source, along with Day of Defeat.

But you can't win all the battles.

Joke's on you, the game is $1.24 today. Big Grin

Yesterday I bought the bundle that included CaveStory+, and bought Terraria. Today I picked up Hoard + DLC, Issac + DLC for my brother, and I can't decide if I should get the Half Life Anthology for $3.50. I want it but I'm trying not to spend everything I saved just for the sale.

I bought Arma 2 and that other expansions thing. I just have that sinking feeling, if I waited a few more days I could have got the game for less.

The rule of thumb is: NEVER BUY A GAME UNTIL THE LAST DAY. (Unless it is a Daily Deal.)

Don't do it! Don't do it! It could go on sale for even LESS during the sale! It's just like the cost of Skyrim on sale vs the Bethesda collection. Skyrim, at sale price, is $40. The Bethesda collection, which contains Skyrim PLUS three other games and all of those games' DLC is only ten bucks more at $50.

I mean, Isaac at $2.50 and Isaac at $1.25 isn't a big deal, but when the savings could be $10-$15 that's a pretty big savings. Smile

Yeah, this is a pretty good rule to consider. If it is anything less than 50% I probably wouldn't be buying it. I didn't care about Isaac at all because it's crazy cheap even at it's retail price.

I hope ARMA II gets a decent discount, though, because I really, really want to check out DayZ

RE: Steam Summer Sale!
Okay. I got my hands on some money so I can buy ONE game.

Now we play the waiting game until ARMA II or Rayman Origins shows up. Hopefully we will get Rayman Origins even though it was a flashsale.
