Anyone here ever played the epic ps2 trilogy?
Which of the three is your favorite?
What was most memorable about the game for you?
Talk about it here Smile

RE: Sly Cooper
Sly Cooper <3 Where do I begin where do I begin?!

For a start off the 2nd one is my favourite. While the 1st one is good the 2nd one was the first platformer imo to have a decent, somewhat epic story line with twists and turns along the way. The gameplay was much improved actually incorporating stealth more, add an open world, awesome dialouge and some of the most memorable villains in a game to date... then my friend you have Sly 2!

RE: Sly Cooper
I got the HD collection and I really am enjoying them.
The first one was great because it was pure linear from each level while collecting bottles to unlock the safe. The second one, while introducing open world exploration, annoyed me to try and find all the bottles. The third one took the bottles away and introduced a new way to break into safes and let me say that is SO annoying (or maybe I just suck at them).
Boss fights in the first game were all pretty original (one of them being a sort of follow the leader type battle) and the second game bosses were all pretty fun because you not only used Sly but Bentley and Murray to fight them as well. So far I am only one the second stage of the 3rd game but the first boss fight was sort of annoying/cheap.
All in all they did a great job with the collection and I hope they decide to bring back more of the classics like Crash and Spyro for example.

RE: Sly Cooper
My friend brought the game at my house and I NEVER GOT TO PAY IT >_<

but, by watching the videos on Youtube (yeah... I had nothing to do), I think my favorite s the first one. It seems... more original in some way since it's the first one.

RE: Sly Cooper
Haven't gotten the HD collection but played the ps2 versions so much. Sly Cooper 1 probably because it was just a fun classic. I mean the others are still great as well. Once the introduction of control of other characters other than sly, that was pretty impressive.

RE: Sly Cooper
I love the series so much and I cannot wait until Sly 4. My favorite is the second because it's similar to the third where the mechanics are good and all, but it doesn't have time trials. I hate time trials so much because I love beating games 100% and doing all of them is required.

RE: Sly Cooper
Yeah I am on 3 and I am not too pleased I am going to have to do many of the missions/boss battles AGAIN and even worse better they put a timer on them to add a "challenge" to them. I think 1 is my favorite, even if 75% of the movies you unlock via safes were not helpful in the slightest.

RE: Sly Cooper
If you have a PS3 then I HIGHLY recommend you get the HD collection, if not then I hope you have a PS2 so you can buy them individually and enjoy them that way.

there actually is a 4th one called "Sly Cooper Thievies in Time"
here's a link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TEYYJbFZMaU

personally i loved the 3rd game and it was also my first one to play
when i played the first one i found the bottle gathering thing a tad annoying and up to these day i still haven't bought/played sly 2 :c
neither do i have a ps3 to buy the HD collection

RE: Sly Cooper
If you did not like the bottle gathering in the first game then you will not like the second game because every main stage is sort of open world and they can be anywhere.
The story is pretty awesome if not cliched to hell.

I really want the new sly game since I was always fascinated in its story and art style.
