I remember the uproar this caused. With good reason too. It's a pretty BS list. Minecraft and CoD: Black OPs? Ha, no! I don't mind those games but top 100 of all time? Stupid. Not a single fighting game in there. Halo Reach better than Shenmue? I just did what other people did and ignored it.

OP, what was the criteria for this Top 100? Sales? Overall critical score? I have yet to see a decent "top whatever" list of video games mostly because mainstream media is bought out by publishers who essentially "buy" the top spots, or the top spot is always a throwaway given to something expected like Tetris or a Zelda game. I didn't watch G4's special on the Top 100 Games and sure enough I got word that it was terrible.

Most top 100 list are pointless, because were biased towards different games. Since this list was compiled by votes, people will vote more towards classics and recently huge games. Since those games are more fresh in their minds. So the list will, ultimately look like this list.
