I am not a huge fan of TLOZ, the only one I really enjoyed from start to end was A Link to the Past. But I suppose many people will be happy about this game and others will bitch because it was not MM.

Nope. No real excitement on my end. Mainly because the graphics of the re-release they showed off made Wind Waker look like Skyward Sword.

From what RetroLinkx just posted yeah, that's slightly overboard.
I was kinda expecting this.

Zelda Wind Waker on the Dolphin rendered in HD. Looks BEAUTIFUL!

How games used to look

Looks very similar to

Brightness, sharpness and over saturated colours are nice, but Wind Waker wasn't known for that. It's also worth noting that there will be ADDITIONAL content to this game that never made it into the final product of the Wind Waker in 2002.

I think the Wii U version looks really nice and really pretty.

Actually pretty excited. I never got the chance to really wrap myself into Wind Waker in the past and I may finally get my chance here.

I think the Yoshi announcement was a bit more exciting though. Yoshi's where it's at.

Don't really like where there going with this Yoshi Yarn idea.

I prefer this Yoshi classic art style:

than the alternative:

It just doesn't feel like a Yoshi game.

Haven't played Wind Waker, but this one could be promising.

RE: Wind Waker HD
The Yoshi games (Island and Story) were more about being cute and fun. I think this artstyle fits him more than it does Kirby, IMO. Makes me wonder what the story is behind it (the game story, that is)

@Bumble

To be honest, that is only one island, that was pretty bright in the original. It may be different elsewhere, and I'm liking the anime look of the clouds in the Wii U HD version.

But you know what would be interesting, and Anime style Zelda, Cel Shaded, but to make it look like an Anime.

RE: Wind Waker HD
I'm still hoping for a new 2D-style Legend of Zelda game, like they did with New Super Mario Bros. It seems like they sort of perfected the formula with Link to the Past, then just let it dwindle down with GB games and Four Swords, but Wind Waker is one of my favorite Zelda games and this looks enjoyable enough.

No. I am sick and tired off Nintendo re-doing old games in HD and on the 3DS. What happened to innovation??? And I'm just sitting here....

Waiting for a new F Zero game. I would buy a Wii U just for that.

Dude, we had Ocarina of Time and that's it. Last big update was Super Mario 64 DS in 2004.

Also, how can you ask for for innovative games and then follow up with asking for F-Zero? Wut?

RE: Wind Waker HD
Yeah innovation normally means something groundbreaking or at least something new. F-Zero, while old, is not new nor groundbreaking.
You should have just said that Nintendo should go back to some of their older games and possibly make a reboot or something like that.
