RE: Mario Did You Knows?
The in-universe origins of Wario have never been explored in the games. We know that he's Mario's rival but where exactly did he come from?

In the 1/1993 issue of the official German Club Nintendo magazine featured a comic entitled "Super Mario: Die Verwandlung" which translates to "Super Mario: The transformation". In it after having a nightmare, Mario looks in the mirror and notices he appears quite abnormal and pixelated. He vists his GP who is Dr. Light from the Mega Man series who believes that duplicating Mario and merging him back would cure him. The experiment fails where instead of a second Mario, Wario appears. Wario escapes and causes havoc however he is soon captured and later merged back into Mario.

The comic has been uploaded online and can be downloaded from here:

More comics which were published in Club Nintendo magazine can be found here:
http://www.classic-zone.de/comics.php
Many of the comics featured cross-overs from other characters including Mega Man, Link, Street Fighter and Kirby. Whilst they were all officially licensed by Nintendo, like the many other comics, game books and tv series, these comics have never been acknowledged by Nintendo.

This was of course not the only explanation given to Wario's past. In one story of the comic series Super Mario Adventures published in issue #44 of Nintendo Power magazine in 1993 titled "Mario vs. Wario" showed as kids Mario and Wario were friends however Wario was always in trouble when playing with Mario which he then blamed him for his unluckines.

The entire comic story can be found here:

In another comic featured in the German Club Nintendo magazine titled "Warios Weihnachtsmärchen" (which translates to Wario's Christmas Tale) which is a parody of A Christmas Carol, has Toad as the Ghost of Past showing Wario's childhood where as a kid Wario again was always unlucky compared to Mario.

The comic can be found to download here:

Also recently Wario appeared as a baby along with Mario, Luigi, Peach and Donkey Kong in Yoshi's Island DS.

RE: Mario Did You Knows?
In the first level of Super Mario Galaxy 2, there is a sign in front of Yoshi's house that reads, "Hello friend! Please go around back! -Yoshi"

If you then quit the level, and select the time limit version (I think it's the third one) and read the sign again it will say, "Hello friend! Please go around back! -Yoshi the space dragon"

RE: Mario Did You Knows?
Did you know that in the paper mario series the number "256" is brought up multiple times.

256 when converted from decimal to hexadecimal(a numbering system used in programming) is 100. Sources:

There are plenty of unused models in the game. There is also some models from Mario games, they might be Super Mario 128 Leftovers.

Kuribo in japanese means Goomba, the Mario enemy. Strangely, this is the same model of Kug, an unused enemy in Super Mario Sunshine.

Now from super mario sunshine.

The model of Mario is very huge. The only way was replacing the Space Background to see him.

Lol! I'm the guy who found that! Smile

Anyways, here is the full story:

http://www.unseen64.net/2008/04/08/pikmin-gc-beta/

Has even more cool stuff, like black pikmins and more unused stuff.

+ The Pikmin one was planned to have an 2 player mode, but it was scrapped (I looked through the game files)

Is there any more stuff not documented in that unseen64 page? I'll be doing a Pikmin episode this year and it would be nice to some more information to look over.

Far I know, no. I have been searching pikmin for about 1 full year!

In any case that doesn't have in this page, here is the forum page too:

http://forum.unseen64.net/viewtopic.php?...lit=pikmin

About the .exe file that you 'll see in that thread, well it's located in the game as sysbootup.exe, you can't really open it, but by using an HEX code, there is actually the full game editor and probably the primary editor for the first game cube games. (Although, the first dolphin's models were PC-Likes, they could probably use an edited version of Windows for earlier versions [Speculation]

http://www.unseen64.net/unseen-changes/p...fferences/

^This one shows some differences between regional. The most interesting is that Child and Adult option.

->There is an level that if you try it on Emulator or probably an legit hacked Gamecube, it crashes (because it was planned for 2player mode) [Tuto2.mod] {I have seen some game configurations about that level, I may can try to obtain to you}

RE: Mario Did You Knows?
Did you know Nintendo made a reference to blood in an E rated Mario game of all things? In Mario Party 2, horror land looks like it has blood marks next to a bunch of grave stones but on closer inspection it is actually ketchup.

RE: Mario Did You Knows?
I don't know if this has been posted yet, but I'm not going through facts and posts to find out. I'm pretty sure it hasn't yet.

Remember how the intro sequence on the title screen of Super Mario Bros. 3 shows Mario and Luigi on a stage with curtains and a backdrop? Well that's because the game isn't real, none of it actually happened. Similar to how Super Mario Bros. 2 is all a dream, Super Mario Bros. 3 is on a stage. This is supported by the fact that the end of each level is a black backdrop, and Mario's shadow even appears on the sky!
