That's the thing with online interactions - you have to be more explicit when typing out what you're saying.
Most people will understand your implied humour or sarcasm, but there are too many people that will take each word at face value.

I've never found you annoying, so you must be doing something right

RE: The life-in-general help me thread
This is a cool thread, I like it. It's deep and meaningful.

On the topic of losing friends, off the top of my head, I can count 4 friends I've lost through the span of my high school years (not as in lost because I graduated). 1 of which was a really good friend at one point, and who at a later point I thought was a good friend, but it turned out, or at leas it felt like, she didn't really care about me or take me seriously at all the whole time. And losing her really hurt.

Anyway, I dunno, things and stuff.

Just lost my job, getting kicked out in two weeks, no money to speak of, and nowhere to stay. All before breakfast. Any advice? I could use it.

Wow, yeah, I dunno what to tell you, dude. Hope someone else can help.

On the other hand, I am fat. And I want to be healthy (no, my concern is not losing weight, that will happen). I want to be healthy. I'll repeat it again, because I know someone's gonna be like "here's what you gotta do to lose weight". I WANT TO BE HEALTHY. Anyway, now that I've gotten that point out of the way, I find this a very hard thing to do, because I don't really have any sort of foundation in how to eat and live a healthy lifestyle. and I was wondering if anyone on here knows about nutrition and how to eat and live healthy. I'm looking for a foundation, not a couple tips and tricks here and there.
I don't know why I'm asking on this forum, it just seems silly. But maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised.

For a healthy lifestyle, take time to cook some awesome food. Don't see eating as a chore, otherwise you'll want to rush it and eat quick fixes.
You'll eat better, you'll feel good, and you'll be proud of the food you make.
To me, preparing what you eat with love and care is the basis of a healthy life.

As for you LoneWanderer, all I can suggest is going to your government for help. There are always schemes in place to help people in your situation if you live in a decent country. Otherwise, go stay with a family member for a while ? Hope everything works out

RE: The life-in-general help me thread
Does anyone know of a really good over the counter sleep medicine that doesn't have depression side effects?

It's been going on for months, so I feel I need to do something about it. For some reason when night hits I'm not tired at all and it takes until about 1AM for any fatigue to hit in and then I want to sleep past 9AM, which works poorly when I have 5:30AM shifts. Then what sucks is that I'm tired all day but then magically awake and peppy once the time to go to sleep rolls around.

The depression thing is a major issue. I was on a prescribed sleeping medicine once which happened to have this as a side effect that I wasn't made aware of. That was the only time in my life that I tried to commit suicide and I like to avoid that.
