Many of the names for Items and Characters are named after important development team staff:

Lord De Seis = Rick Seis
Colenzo the Annihilator = Karin Colenzo
Shenk the Overseer = Phil Shenk

Or anagrams of the staff:

Civerb's Vestments = Peter Brevik,
Nokozan Relic = Karin Colenzo
The Mahim-Oak Curio = Michio Okamura
Bverrit Keep = Peter Brevik
Rusthandle = (Mark) Sutherland
Rixot's Keen = Erik Sexton
Skewer of Krintiz = Kris Renkewitz
Halls of Vaught = Fredrick Vaught.
