Your Personal Top 10 Games
What are the top 10 games you've ever played?

As you will tell from my list I was a heavy PC gamer. Here are mine in no particular order.

Everquest (PC)
- This is the game that single-handedly got me into RPGs

Americas Army 2.5 (PC)
- Loved the slow paced and realistic FPS this game delivered, not to mention the game is free (but with a very low active player base; 100-150)

Unreal Tournament 99 (PC)
- I've gone through a few keyboards playing this game

Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)
- I'm sure this doesn't need an explanation

Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES)
- This one too

Halo: Reach (X360)
- I'm a huge fan of the series (mainly Combat Evolved) but, Reach set the formula that I really liked in the multiplayer

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (PSP)
- The greatest handheld game I have ever played, plus the production value of the game is amazing

Final Fantasy X (PS2)
- A fantastic RPG and installment for the FF series

Minecraft (PC)
- A sandbox masterpiece

Skyrim (PC)
- This game sucked my life away for about 2 straight weeks

RE: Your Personal Top 10 Games
The 7th Guest (Mac/PC)
One of the first games I ever played and it scared the crap out of me, the puzzles were pretty interesting as well.

Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (NES/GBA)
One of the first Zelda titles I ever played and completed and I could never stop loving it.

Luigi's Mansion (Gamecube)
One of the first titles for the Gamecube and Luigi is my favorite brother.

Fallout: New Vegas (PC/PS3/Xbox 360)
While I liked Fallout 3, NV was a little more realistic because food is not insta heal but heals over time and the game even has a hardcore mode that makes walking in the desert ever rougher.

Sly Cooper HD Collection (PS3)
This was hard because I also love Spyro and Crash Bandicoot but the Sly series has become one of my favorite titles from back then.

Pokemon Blue (Gameboy Color)
My first Pokemon game and who could honestly say they did NOT enjoy this game.

Final Fantasy 8 (PC/PS1)
Again my first FF title and it not only had a good story but the main character matured over the course of the game. The music was awesome and so was the mini game.

Bioshock (PC/PS3/Xbox 360)
Beautiful graphics with an interesting story and while the gameplay was FPS, the hacking was fun as was using combos of plasmids with guns.

Heavy Rain (PS3)
While I never played Indigo Prophecies when it came out, Heavy Rain was the reason I wanted a PS3. The music, the atmoshpere and yes the characters all helped make the game what it was. The QTEs were not as annoying as they were in other games because the game revolved around them.

Radiata Stories (PS2)
I had a hard time with this game and Grandia 3. The game revolves around time management because the game has a day and night cycle with EVERY character having their own stuff to do making it harder to try and recruit them into your party. The game also has over 150 characters that you can recruit to fight for you.

I totally forgot about Fallout. I never really got into NV much but Fallout 3 is definitely one of my favs though.

RE: Your Personal Top 10 Games
In no specific order
Super Mario World SNES
More of a personal one, but nearly every single thing about this game I just fell in love with

Team Fortress 2 PC
I love the combat, I love the community, I like most of the maps and the uniqueness compared to other FPSs in the market is astounding. Also, the game is structured so well, in that there are NO direct upgrades, everything is down to personal preference, meaning that it all comes down to skill, which is something most games are lacking nowadays. You can be using no hats and all of the default weapons and still do better than somebody with a ton of new crap, or you can try to work towards all of the crap; It's all up to you, you can play however you want. True Gaming Bliss.

SSX Tricky PS2
Another more personal choice, as I spent many a night shredding down Gerabaldi as Mac on dat uberboard, but the game was just SO MUCH FUN! Everything was just pure fun, the speed, the races, the ridiculously awesome tricks (Psymon spinning the board through his neck... seriously, that epicness happens), the tracks the multiplayer the free riding, the SPEED and lack of PHYSICS! EVERYTHING was awesome! Except for Luther, because he's stupid -.-

Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 (PS2)
Another game that was just so damn fun I couldn't put it down. Between the great design, awesome tricks, BEST soundtrack ever to be compiled for a game (meaning non-original songs), cheats and the fact that you could PLAY AS WOLVERINE ON A SKATEBOARD, It was a blast. Also multiplayer, so much.

Pokemon Leaf Green GBA
Yet another awesome entry in the Pokemon series, not to mention the first game I ever personally owned (I'm 16... shut up -.-), the HUGE world, return of the original, beautiful 151, great story and the fact that my best friend and I each got the game with the then-new Wireless adapters so we spent many a day trying to catch em all, as well as battling and helping eachother out (THAT Kingdra...). Also, on a sad related note, once he let me borrow his prized Typhlosion when I went on vacation in Minnesota, and I forgot the cartridge somewhere, leading to the longest running joke we have Sad

Super Smash Bros. Brawl WII
Best. Party. Game. EVER. Screw Dance Central, Brawl is where its at for non-online multiplayer awesomeness.

Paper Mario N64
My favorite N64 game, favorite Virtual Console game that YES, IS OVER OOT. I love Ocarina and all, and I played that game to death, but in the end I honestly had more fun with this one. The RPG elements blended with traditional Mario PERFECTLY, the battles were fun and strategic, the characters were ALL memorable, from the bosses to the Boo Butlers, the humor was the best in the entire Mario series (in my opinion, sorry Wii version), and everything just came together in a 30 hour package of wonder and RPGness.

Sim City, SNES
Similar to SMW, I grew up with this game, its one of the first I ever played and to this day is fun as hell, especially with the giant lizard monster, because Come on, Bowser can kill a football stadium.

Runescape PUBLIC LIBRARY PC (long story)
Now, I know what you're all thinking after reading that title

But hear me out, this one is more due to the experiences I had with it, rather than the game itself.
This was my first MMO, and it used to be great back in '05 when version 2.0 came out, especially in the lower levels. Me and all of my friends had just started, so it was sort of a friendly competition, and we helped eachother out too. Over the years we came to love the world, until we reached some of the higher levels and ended the F2P stuff, then it sort of became a mess.

THAT'S SO RAVEN FOR THE NINTENDO DS!
Hah, fuck no.

Minecraft PC
Come on, it's minecraft.

RE: Your Personal Top 10 Games
Black Ops -
I mean, the zombies was aboslutely fantastic. I loved it. The campaign was amazing, I loved playing it, in all different environments, it was a dark and abit more twisted, and some people say its shit but I really dont see the problem in a twist, the twist was totally unexpected, no one saw it coming, and I was shocked. Abit like Tyler Durden, from Fight Club.

Halo 3 -
I dont even need to clarify why this is an amazing classic for the 360. It was dazzling, and i was teary at the end, and I just really didnt want the game to stop. The soundtrack is amazing, the neverending, deep choir of voices whilst whipping dual SMGs out was priceless.

Gears of War 3 -
Yeh, Im not really going for any major classics like LoZ (since, Ive still yet to complete one) but GoW3 was an emotional game. I played it on Insane the first time around and completed it, and it was totally worth it. The best hing was completing it with my mates, seeing the 'emotional moments', the deaths, the action, and the random, burtal cursing of Marcus is lovely.
And the lovable sarcasm of Baird.

Super Mario Sunshine -
Well, now I think about it, I didnt really mega enjoy this game but I gotta put it up there because it ate up abit of my childhood. I really loved the game and it was immense when it came out for the gamecube. I was in awe when I played it, and Ill always like the game, and it'll always have a place in my heart for being so memorable.

When I probably complete Wind Waker or Twilight Princesses, they will be up there, Im sure of it.

RE: Your Personal Top 10 Games
I've never thought about my favorites of all time. Hmm....anyway, in no particular order:

LoZ: Link to the Past (SNES)
one of the first games I've played, and I loved it ever since.

Pokemon: any of them (GB/GBC/GBA/DS)
do I need to explain why?

Okami (PS2)
beautiful graphics and a good story taken loosely from Japanese mythology, my second favorite mythology.

Shadow of the Colossus (PS2)
surprisingly deep story, with a twist I didn't see coming, as well a amazing boss design.

Killer 7 (GC)
too much to explain just go look into it.

Bioshock (PS3)
I enjoyed it more for the story than for the gameplay, as the gameplay was pretty mediocre, but the story was fairly interesting, with a twist I'm sure not many saw coming.

Disgaea: any of them (PS2/PS3)
humorous story, great, deep gameplay, and wonderful design for just about everything.

Persona: 3 and 4 (PS2)
I'll admit that 3 had a better story than 4, but 4 had better gameplay mechanics than 3. But, I still love them both equally, as they're amazing games.

BlazBlue (PS3)
I'll admit, this is really one of the only fighters I've ever fully enjoyed, and it's also one of the best I've played in a long time. Strange, yet good story, good characters, and pretty good battle mechanics.

And finally, the one you've all been not caring to wait for:

Any of the Mario RPG's.
yes, a cop out, since there's so many of them, but shut up, it's my list.

RE: Your Personal Top 10 Games
(in no order)

1. Portal 2(PS3)

2. Resident Evil 5(PS3. PS-- If you can't get into this game, try playing co-op! It's a blast! Big Grin)

3. Left 4 Dead 2(Xbox 360)

4. Minecraft(PC, and 360, I play both)

5. Assassin's Creed II(Xbox 360)

6. Halo 3(360)

7. Mortal Kombat(Xbox 360, the newest one that came out)

8. Battlefield 3(Box of X, 360)

9. Homefront(Take a guess)

10. Black Ops(063 xobX)

As you can see I play a lot of Xbox, but I have been trying to get into PC gaming. I found a nice little laptop with some good parts(at least for what I want to play) so perhaps it will be good enough.

RE: Your Personal Top 10 Games
- Dragon Age: Origins
There's so much about this title that explaining why I love it would take an entire thread.

- The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
The immersion Bethesda can achieve with the ES series just reached its peak here, for me.

- Conker's Bad Fur Day (N64)
One of the few N64 titles that I own; my mother gave it to me as a birthday gift after she thought the squirrels were cute when she saw it.
I've yet to finish the main campaign (those damned zombies don't allow me to finish the mansion part =/) but the multiplayer is just fantastic at gaming parties.

- Paper Mario (N64)
Along with Super Mario RPG, this is the only Mario titles I can bare to play. I simply don't like the fast paced arcade Mario games. And I've finished Paper Mario so many times when I rented N64 games.

- Pokemon Red
The second Pokemon game I've played (after Pokemon Stadium) using the GameBoy port on my old 64.

- Final Fantasy Tactics (GameBoy & DS)
I'm not really a fan of the combat system on the main ff franchise, but the tactic games are just fantastic. I still haven't finished the DS one because of the lack of a speed button.

- Bastion
It's really one of those titles that just slip the mainstream because it was outshined by many overrated titles. The narrator himself makes the game; you need nothing else.

- LoZ: The Minish Cap
Unfortunately a really short game, but it's fantastic on every single other aspect. I just find myself re-playing it over time.

- Ragnarok Online
The single MMORPG I spent 7~8 years playing. From before the Trans classes to the implementation of the 3rd classes. I saw the game reach its peak and also dig its grave with the last couple years (screw you Gravity and the need to add more classes =/).

- Devil May Cry 4
As much as I loved DMC3, Nero's just too awesome. The gameplay revamp was incredible and re-running the stages with both the characters, although sometimes repetitive, showed really well the difference between them.

RE: Your Personal Top 10 Games
Ah this is hard, but I know what my list would include.

Resident Evil 4
Ocarina of Time/Twilight Princess/Wind Waker
Doom 2
Tekken 2
Super Street Fighter 4/Third Strike
Smash Bros
Pokemon Emerald/Pearl
Sonic The Hedgehog 2/Generation
Bioshock 1 and 2
Dead Space 1 and 2
Mario 64/Sunshine/Galaxy
Final Fantasy 3/6/7/XIII
Gears 3
Guitar Hero 3
Uncharted 1 2 and 3
I need to narrow it down but too many honourable mentions. I've played so many different genres of many different platforms since 1990.

RE: Your Personal Top 10 Games
In no particular order, because, as my signature says, I'm indecisive.

Minecraft
-Wonderful game with fairly solid mechanics and you can virtually do anything with mods/custom maps.
Super Mario Bros 3
-Probably the best non-spinoff Mario game. Everything about it is easy until about halfway through where things get tough. A good learning curve, tons of power-ups, huge worlds, and bonus mini-games.
Metal Gear Solid 3
-This game has a phenomenal story with great characters and gameplay. There are plenty of guns and gadgets to make the gameplay be tailored to how you want to play.
Pokemon Emerald
-Probably the peak in the Pokemon games. It has the large open world, plenty of creative Pokemon and those classics in the Safari Zone, and a decent story line for the average Pokemon game.
Skyrim
-Massive open world and a sweet story. The game itself may be flawed, as I've seen my fair share of glitches, but they aren't necessarily common. Also, I've always loved the ability to play games your own way, it adds a ton of replayability to the game.
Sly Cooper: Band of Thieves
-The game has a solid story with an epic twist, memorable characters/bosses, easy-to-grasp gameplay that is fun to master, and the way the missions work and how the each level just comes together is always awesome.
Uncharted (any of the games)
-You play as a modern Indiana Jones. What else do you want? Amazing gameplay and stories, controls can be a bit weird, but are otherwise good.
Battlefield 3
-Despite being an EA game, it's still great. Really amazing multiplayer on dedicated servers is just great. There are a variety of guns and vehicles to use against your opponents. Although there is also a variety of terrible business practices (Premium...really?)
Star Wars: Battlefront 2
-Best Star Wars game I've ever played and also one of the best FPS/TPS I've ever played. There are plenty of gamemodes, planets, classes, and characters. Playing co-op with a friend and just taking down the Empire (or the Rebellion if you're evil like me) is great fun. Also Galactic Conquest is just super addicting.
The Binding of Isaac
-Hands-down the second best indie game I've ever played. Randomly generated levels, an absolute crap-ton of power-ups, trinkets, and other goodies, and more than one character to play as. The game has a ton of replayability and it's more addicting than Angry Birds (I cannot confirm nor deny this statement as I refuse to play Angry Birds).

Those are probably my favorite games of all times. Keep in mind before you yell/rage at me for my decisions, these are my opinions. And the beauty of opinions is that nobody is either right or wrong.
