Pokemon Gold Clefairy-People - Jam Pie - 08-03-2012 01:17 PM

In Pokemon Gold, when you get to Mt. Moon in Kanto, there's a shop at the top of it where an old man and a little girl live. When you talk to the girl, she says that Clefairy come out at night. Upon returning to Mt. Moon at night, you can see two Clefairy dancing around a moonstone in an area to the left of the shop. You will find the shop empty with the old man and little girl nowhere to be seen, and they also cannot be found outside. The old man and girl could have actually been the Clefairy.

What points to them being a Clefairy more than them leaving the house?

I don't think Clefairys work that way.

Maybe a bit more info will help clear things up. There were only 2 people in that shop, and there were only 2 Clefairy dancing around the moonstone. They aren't seen anywhere outside either, and I highly doubt that they're hiding in Mt. Moon. And the shop is the only building up there. The only other argument is that they could have gone to another town, but I'm too lazy to do that.

How can you doubt that they might be hiding in Mt. Moon when you think it's possible that they've transformed into Pokemon (or the other way around)?Confused

Well, it's an old man and a little girl. I don't think it would be safe for them to hide in Mt. Moon. Caves are infamous in Pokemon.

Maybe they were trying to find the Clefary, they come out at night, so they may have wanted to try and find them?

You don't think they have a Pokemon to protect themselves with? You know, like every other person in that world?

Usually when I encounter someone with Pokemon, they'd make me to battle, or have the Pokemon stand next to them and be the topic of their dialogue.

And disable their only form of protection by risking their Pokemon fainting? Not a good idea.
