Calming Yourself - Zaliphone - 07-29-2012 11:15 AM

Do you ever need to do anything to just calm down if your anxious or angry? Whenever I am I just pop in my headphones and listen to some really loud music, usually something like Metallica, Iron Maiden, or Nirvana. It really calms my nerves.
So how about you?

Sometimes, in which case if I'm seriously pissed I need to just be alone for a few hours and just forget about what I'm pissed at and depending how angry I am that few hours could be 30 minutes or a whole day.

Yeah same(ish) here.
If I get pissed at losing on fighting game I just turn the game off and cool down (around 30 mins or so). I try not to dwell on it too much. There's far worse problems in the world really.

If I'm on a single player game and something is annoying me I just swear my arse off and keep trying, listening to music helps not take it too seriously.

I don't usually get pissed off with anyone I just don't talk to them, but it's incredibly rare that I do get that annoyed with someone.

Depends on what I am experiencing.
If it is rage then I turn the game off and avoid talking to anyone for awhile because I might snap at them and would rather avoid that.

If I am having a panic attack then I normally am lying in my lounge chair watching T.V. while taking deep 10 second in/10 second out breathing exercises.

When I get annoyed, I tend to rationalise and then realise that getting angry won't make anything better.
Then enter calm SERIOUSLY THOUGH Smile

When I get mad, I go punch people.

RE: Calming Yourself - Nuudoru - 07-30-2012 02:40 AM

When I get mad I make angry posts anonymously at the internet.

I'm telling you, Online gaming is the best way to relieve stress ever. Unlike typical sports, You can say whatever the hell you want and nobody gives a shit, also you can pretend to kill people.

Or stab people. I've stabbed people before.

It's the opposite for me. Usually it's the gaming that gets me pissed off in the first place. Although, if I am doing better than usual, it always cheers me up. There's nothing better simulated slaughter.

Xanax my friends. Also, funny stuff online or laughing at the sad people on 4chan.

I used to use boxing and playing guitar/bass to ease my anger. Now I just use alcohol, cigarettes, drugs and porn while kicking animals and children around.

I use the move "Calm mind". It raises my Special Attack and Special Defense stats instead of doing something I will probably regret.. But, seriously, I just take a nap. Naps are great.
